"You don't need to say it openly like that," Allen quipped, his tone lighthearted as he tried to downplay Emma's praise. It felt a bit awkward to receive such direct compliments, especially when they were delivered so openly in front of him.
Azura's cheeks flushed even deeper at Allen's response, her embarrassment evident as she shifted uncomfortably on her feet. Yet she couldn't deny the truth in Emma's words.
"I just said what I needed to say," Emma replied casually, brushing off the moment as she turned on her heels and continued walking towards the living room, leaving Allen and Azura to follow in her wake.
Allen followed Emma's lead once more. He couldn't help but recall the conversation they'd had at the café earlier. "I literally told her the same thing back at the café," he muttered under his breath, his memory flashing back to the cafe.
