"Miss Xin... can you repeat..."
Liliana's smile softened looking at Lucas' flustered expression. With his disheveled appearance now, somehow he looked his age instead of appearing as a more mature man.
"I'm sorry for surprising you," Liliana laughed, "The idea came to me when I tried your baked goods the other day."
The butter cake and chocolate chip cookies were up to Liliana's palate. Even though she had been tasting refined cuisines from well-known chefs worldwide, she found comfort in the small token of remembrance Lucas gave her.
"Err...isn't that too... extreme?"
Lucas couldn't understand why his act of giving the baked goods to Liliana resulted in her asking him to pursue studies in Paris. He mentioned how much he enjoyed crafting cakes and pastries, but he never talked about studying them professionally.
Well... was this how rich folks acting? She could even give him a massive sum of money for his little help.
