The exact moment Princess Mariah woke up, she changed from her night robe to her usual green attire.

After a while, she went to the investigation centre, where the palace detectives often work at. When she got there, she met some guards who gave her easy entry as she was a known detective, despite not gaining the title in the kingdom.

She greeted them with a smile and sat down on the seat that she was invited to.

There were only two men in the room and they were in their uniform. Before Princess Mariah could explain why she was there, the one sitting on the left-hand side, across from her said, "You must be Detective Mariah, Your Highness?"

"I am," she nodded and was about to get started not waiting for other questions when the detective said,

"We were supposed to work on the murder of Prince Xane, however, we were stopped by the king as he stated that you were already in charge."
