Evelyn Coaxes Regan

That evening when Regan returned, he was surprised not to find Evelyn coming down the stairs not to see him.

After surprise came a deep frown.

Was she unwell?

As he thought this, he walked to his room immediately leaving Rex alone. But Rex didn't mind him at all.

He himself was lost in the thoughts of someone else today.

When he reached his room, Regan saw Isla standing outside the room. It reminded him of the scene from the day before yesterday when Evelyn had asked for the divorce.

He was actually scared for a moment before he composed himself and approached Isla.

"Your Highness"

Regan nodded his head in acknowledgment and asked

"Where is Evelyn?"

"My Lady is inside the room since morning."

"Did she have her lunch?"

Regan asked immediately.

"She did but inside the room only."

The answer made Regan frown in confusion.

"What is she doing?"

Isla opened her mouth to speak but then shut it immediately. She didn't know if she was supposed to tell the truth.
