Evelyn Agrees

In the early morning, Gianna unlocked the door of Evelyn's room. It had been three years but she would still lock the door of Evelyn's room before sleeping.

Gianna remembered that Evelyn had once woken up at night but she couldn't open the door so she had asked her about that. At that time, she had lied to the girl that she did the same with Oliver and Arthur as the children usually had the habit of walking when they sleep.

Though Evelyn was sure that she didn't have any such habit, she was touched by Gianna's concern and didn't stop her.

In her eyes, Gianna had never considered her any less than Oliver and Arthur. If only she knew…

Stepping inside the room, Gianna saw that Evelyn was already awake and seated on the bed.

"Mother…"

Gianna smiled as she walked towards the bed and sat beside Evelyn. She stroked Evelyn's head and said

"Mother wanted to talk to you about something."

Evelyn's attention was solely focused on her and she asked

"What is it, Mother?"
