Teammates to enemies

(Pokemon will speak this chapter)

Charmeleon came out of it's pokeball in the middle of the night, the moonlight shining on his orange scales. A faint sound beckoned his attention.

He looked at us, but both I and Khalid were passed out on our respective beds, sprawled out for max comfort, our chest rising and falling ever so slightly as we revealed in our peaceful slumber.

Though the sound kept going, turning his attention to the window that showed outside the pokemon center.

His eyes landed on Eevee who trained diligently in the dark, constantly attacking the nearby tree's with swift and dodging attacks that weren't even there.

Charmeleon stared for a while, watching it as it continued to push itself, it's movements slowed overtime, Eevee huffed in fatigue, sweat dripping under it's fur as It got up once more, it's leg quivering under it's weight.

"Hey!" It heard a voice calling out to it, head turned to see who it was, its big beady eyes landing on charmeleon.

"What do you want" Eevee hissed.

"What are you doing?" Charmeleon asked, avoiding the question entirely.

"That's none of your concern."

"And why's that? We saved you didn't we? The least you could do is tell me."

"I didn't ask for your help." Eevee muttered, sitting on the grass beneath it.

"You really are a stubborn one aren't you."

"Just to let you know, you arent going to fight that Charizard and come back alive at this rate." Eevee jolted at Charmeleon's comment a clear sign it had been caught.

"If you knew what I was doing why even bother asking!"

"Just giving you the benefit of the doubt." Charmeleon sighed, looking back at the Eevee.

"Why are you so set on fighting that thing."

Eevee paused for a minute before stating it's answer, but even then it was a bit hesitant.

"I- want to save it."

"By attempting to kill it?"

"NO!" Eevee snapped, it's ears dropping as its voice fell silent once more.

"She's actually an adventure buddy of mine but, when our trainer walked into that cave. His pokemon turned against him, and he died." Tears started to well up at the eyes of the pokemon.

"I was left behind cause I was the runt of the group, because I was weak."

"And when I checked on them, they were all dead except for her. Their corpses scattered across the cave and her mouth filled with their blood. I remember it so vividly…"

"And you think fighting it would snap her out of her senses?" Charmeleon pondered. The Eevee nodding at the thought.

"And just maybe we could travel again… Though everytime I see her I get scared. Not because of how she looks," Eevee pauses for a moment. It's teeth gritting together to stop the tears.

"It's because, she acts so different I don't know if I could bring her back."

Tears rolled down the cheeks of the Eevee, it's breath hitched, trying to stop crying but it couldn't. Charmeleon watched on in silence, daring not to say anything and just let it cry and grief for a moment.

"You know…" He stated, after a while, the Eevee turning to him once more.

"If you want, I can train with you, and help you knock some sense into her."

Eevee looked up at him, it's eyes filled with hesitance.

"Really?"

Charmeleon smiled, giving it a thumbs up, eyes practically sparkled with opportunity.

"Yup."

"Ayuna….."

"Ayuna!"

"AYUNA!!!"

I jolted from my bed as something hard collided with my face, I groaned in pain as I held it tightly trying to dispel the fatigue.

"What the hell is your problem!?" I shouted, looking at khalid, his adventure bag in hand as he stared down at me.

"Charmeleon and Eevee are missing!" He shouted in a panic. Silence taking over the room for a mere moment.

"WHAT?!!?"
