Titans Forever Pt. 4

You lost all the air in your lungs as you crashed through the tower. Cassie was now flying at you at supersonic speeds and delivered another hit before you could react. You flew through the concrete structure and finally ended up back outside. The tower is what now separated you and Lilith who was now engaged in battle against Klarion. You finally had a chance to recover and gather yourself. You watched as Cassie hovered over you. Her eyes were now redder than earlier.

Y/N: Cas-sie.

You were in unbearable pain but had to push through. Cassie went in for another hit but was instead stopped by a strong strike of electricity. Vigil was trying to hold her off while Bart raced around and grabbed you. After taking you a few yards away he talked to you.

Impulse: Dude! This is totally wack!

Y/N: Where's the others?

Impulse: Raven and Beast Boy went to go help Starfire fight that weird guy. Where's Lilith?

Y/N: Weird guy. What happened here?

Impulse just shrugged.

Impulse: One moment we're playing games and the next, BOOM! No idea what happened but when we saw Starfire fight Cassie, well we knew it wasn't good.

You turned back to Static and Cassie who were now fighting. Static was dodging her on his disc while she tried to hit him in a blind rage.

Y/N: She's under some kind of spell. We have to find out how to break it.

Impulse: I'll spread the message.

With that he was gone. You stood back up and checked the damage. It wasn't too bad but it could be better.

Y/N: Looks like I'll have to just hang on. Hope what the others taught me will help.

You flew back into battle and joined Static in trying to take down your friend. You threw a uppercut but she had dodged and instead grabbed your arm. She then swung you into Static who quickly recovered and released yet another blast of electricity. You jumped back in and slammed your fists into her side knocking her back enough for another strike which sent her falling down. You landed and prepared for grounded combat. She threw a jab but you leaned to the right. Then the left. Right. Left. Right. Right. Uppercut.

She recovered and managed to grab your shoulder then launched you across the lawn. You caught yourself and rushed back just in time to see Cassie send Static though the second floor window. You took used the distraction and delivered a round house kick to her side while she had her back turned. She went off to the side just as Impusle returned.

Impulse: Batboy!

Y/N: BatMAN!

Impulse: Whatever! I know what the curse is. Actually Raven is the one who knows and she just told me so now I'm relayingthemessagetoyousoweallcanbeatherandstopKlarionso....

Y/N: IMPULSE!

Impulse: Sorry. It's her emotions. They're all out of whack. We just have to stabilize them.

Y/N: How? What's got her worked up like this.

Static poked his head out through the broken window above you.

Static: IT'S YOU! SHE LIKES YOU AND YOU WENT OUT WITH LILITH! SHE'S JEALOUS YOU IDIOT!

You and Bart looked at him confused. He sighed and jumped down.

Vigil: She likes you. You listen to her and understand her. Hell, you're the only one who can train with her. You became her solitude in a place she felt she didn't belong.

You never knew this. You always saw it as her being friendly. That's it. Just friends. You never knew she felt like that.

Y/N: This is my fault.

Impulse shook his head.

Impusle: No way dude. You couldn't have known this would happen ohgodshesback!

Impulse was suddenly flying across the way leaving a empty space between you and Static. Both of you slowly turned to see a very pissed Cassie. She brought out her lasso and threw it towards Static. It caught him and she swung him away towards the bay. You watched as his body hit the water. Before you could try to save him, Cassie was back on you.

It was one hit after another. You could feel your armor break away with every hit. Finally, one hard hammer smash broke your helmet and knocked you on your back. You couldn't see out of your visor anymore. At least on your left side. The screen was now broken and the only line of sight you had was because the large chunk missing from your helmet. Your hair was now flowing in the breeze and your E/C eye was now visible.

Cassie stood above him with her eyes as red as ever. You tried to stand up but she placed her foot on your chest.

Cassie: You die here.

Y/N: Cassie. I'm sorry. For hurting you. I didn't know.

Cassie: No, you aren't. You will be.

She began to press her foot on your chest harder which broke your chest armor. Your chest began to crush under the pressure.

Y/N: Cassie. Please.

She leaned in and looked you in the eye.

Cassie: Why her? Why not me?

Your eyes widened. This could be your chance.

Y/N: Because I respect you as a close friend. Someone who can stand by my side and someone I can lean on for support.

Cassie looked at you for a moment before something knocked her away. You turned your head the best you could to see who was responsible.

Tempest: Looks like we made it just in time.

He landed on the grass with a soaking wet Static and a completely dry Nightwing.

Nightwing: Well. This could be worse.

You sighed before your vision faded to black.---------Your dreams were a daze. Faceless figures, distorted music, and voices that never made sense. You woke up feeling as sore as ever. Your entire body was wrapped in bandages and you couldn't feel your arm that well. You looked around your room and spotted Dick and Jason asleep on the sofa. Jason was sitting while Dick had laid down with his feet in Jason's lap. You then looked to find an IV attached to your arm.

Y/N: So, that's the extent of an amazon. Damn that hurts.

You noticed Jason shift and look at you. He shot up which sent Dick to the floor.

Jason: You're up! About damn time.

Y/N: Sorry I was beat up by a super powerful warrior.

Dick: Yeah. Trust me we all know how it feels.

You sat up the best you could and sighed.

Y/N: So what happened?

Dick: Well me and Tempest showed up and helped you guys take down Klarion. After that the Leauge sent some magic users and retrained him. We still have no idea what is plans were but they'll find out.

Jason: Bruce sent me to make sure you were recovering well. No idea why but I was also curious.

You nodded.

Y/N: And Cassie?

Dick rubbed the back of his neck.

Jason: She's locked in her room. Star's orders.

Dick slapped his shoulder but Jason just shrugged.

Y/N: Can I see her?

Starfire: I wouldn't recommend it.

The three of you turned to see Star walk in. She had been patched up as well but looked better than you did at the moment.

Star: I'm sorry Y/N but we don't know if the curse is still in effect. Seeing you may be something that sets her off.

You were now kinda upset. She was your friend but you couldn't be there for her. Dick placed a hand on your shoulder and offered up a smile.

Dick: Maybe we should go home for a bit. Rest.

Star: I suggest that as well. The rest is exactly what you need.

You nodded in agreement.--------You and Lilith sat on top of the car Jason had brought with him as the two of you watched the sunset. You had asked for a moment alone with her and it worked out since Jason and Dick wanted to talk to Star.

Lilith: So you're heading back to Gotham? You know how long?

You shook your head.

Y/N: Maybe for a while. I need to heal up and get back into action. Who knows what will happen in that time.

Lilith placed her hand on top of yours.

Lilith: Take your time.

You smiled and gave her hand a soft squeeze.

Y/N: I'm sorry. Looks like there won't be a second date.

Lilith shook her head.

Lilith: It's fine. Maybe I should just focus on the Titans for now. Maybe later on.

You nodded in understanding. She suddenly turned towards you with a blush on her cheeks.

Lilith: We never did try that, thing.

You chuckled a bit.

Y/N: No. We didn't.

The two of you began to lean forward just as the sun set on the bay. Anyone walking up would only see your figures kissing in the sunset.
