Chapter 5 - Brother

"General Kenobi." A clone turned away from his monitor towards Kenobi.

"What is it?"

"An EMP blast of some sort has appeared on Tatooine a few months ago, and according to our spies, there is a group of humanoids that are fighting against the Hutt cartel."

"That is interesting, hmmm... Gather more information, we will go there after our mission is complete."

"Yes, sir."

"Brother, these humans are worthless, they run from battle, and falter when it counts." One of my brethren met me on the balcony of the green slugs building.

"I know brother, but we have to make due. Call everyone to the main room, I have an announcement to make."

My brethren and I gathered in the main room, which was still dimmed in purple light with yellow and green swimming across the walls, the green slugs' guts, and bodies had decayed into poisonous gas, but we were fine since we wore gas masks.

"Why are we here brother?"

"I have concluded that we are not in the same universe as the imperium." I waited for them to be surprised or at least ask questions, but I got the opposite.

"I knew that already."

"Same here."

They all looked at each other and back at me. "Seems everyone came to this conclusion."

"Then, we have to abandon the Krieg traditions." This made everyone tense, they waited for me to continue.

"As we all probably know, this planet has spacecraft, meaning they travel through space, and if there are worlds like this one, then we need to do the emperor's work and create the imperium again, with the goal of eradication our enemies."

My brethren were locked in silence. I could feel their conflicting emotions clashing together, it would have gone for minutes if one of them didn't speak up, fortunately, a sister did.

"How do we know this isn't a chaos realm that we've heard so much about, we did go through that portal, and we couldn't find the chaos marine afterward, it makes more sense." The others seemed to agree, but I knew a lot more about the chaos realms than the average guardsman.

"We're not in a chaos realm."

"And what makes you say this brother."

"I use to do wars with the inquisition and found out that chaos realms are far from our understanding to the point our brains would scramble trying to understand what could not be understood."

Before they could choose which story to believe I continued.

"I think we should leave this planet, find out more about this universe, then begin to rebuild the imperium. Doing so will require us to abandon our tradition of charging blindly in enemy fire since we are all there is of the imperium."

Silence filled the space between us.

"We shall do the emperor's work. To increase our forces, we all will split off, going to different worlds and building our individual armies, then we shall exert the emperor's will and destroy the Xeno scum."

I left without a single word, ready to leave this planet immediately.

Within hours, I was on my way off this planet, I didn't know what my brethren were doing, but I expect they will make their minds up in time, for now, I will only focus on rebuilding the Imperium.

Yeah hi, Author here, I went on hiatus for a while due to me being lazy and having no advanced knowledge on both the star wars and 40k universes.

The ending of this chapter was a bit rushed and now with the initial introduction done, I will be able to do a lot more.

I started watching clone wars again. Fire series will watch again after I'm done with the final season.

Also, now MC from the star wars universe will be killed off unless it is deemed so by our fellow kriegsman, so Snips "may" die.
