Chapter 29: Price to be Paid

Sivreth pov:

My mind was still hazy, but I could remember everything I had done when I...was not myself.

It felt like a fog that was playing tricks on my mind had been lifted when Elika had cured me somehow.

I was certain I was being transformed into one of Apocrypha's Daedra.

I'll need to speak with her when this ends.

I took a look a glance behind me towards the skies of Apocrypha.

I couldn't see Miraak's Dragon yet, I hope it's not Krosulhah. Sahrotaar, Kruziikel and Relonikiv were better alternatives.

At least I'd have a chance if that was the case.

Now I understand why Miraak sent Krosulhah after the Dovahkiin back on Mundus in the game.

The [Atlas of Dragons] was far more detailed and descriptive now that everything isn't a game anymore but real.

Krosulhah was very powerful, the only reason Miraak had sent him knowing it was a suicide mission to fight the Dovahkiin, was because Miraak knew Krosulhah would be hard to kill for a number of reasons.

A Dragon like that, I would stand no chance against, as I wouldn't even be able to land a hit on him, let alone being able to damage its scales.

Elika and I were panting heavily, I more so than her due to my Physique, as we bolted our way through the halls of Apocrypha trying to reach the Black Book in time.

*rumble*

"Eep!" Elika let out beside me.

"Aah!" I too made a small yelp as the both of us fell to the ground due to the sudden crashing of something.

I dreaded what caused it, but I knew all too well.

Looking around me in a panic I was relieved to find nothing in out vicinity.

He must have landed somewhere else nearby.

"Elika" I whispered and I crept near to her.

"Siv, what was that?" She took the hint and whispered back to me.

"He's here, be quiet from now on. We need to move but remain hidden, use whatever you can find as cover and keep moving to the Black Book."

"What if whoever "he" is, is at the Black Book waiting." She quickly asked with concern evident on her face.

"Then pray to every God for you to be wrong, for our fate will be far worse if he catches us. If he catches you, by as much time as you can. I'll need time for what I have to do."

"Ok, but what if he catches you?"

"Then you need to distract him, or something! I just need a minute to do what I need to."

"Why don't you do it now?! It seems like it can save us whatever tour planning!"

"Trust me, if it was that simple I would. It would be better if I didn't use it. It is only as a first and last resort should things go bad."

We had broken away from our hiding place as we continued forward.

Making our way to a new location, this one was indoors thankfully.

Me moved around corners of the tables, strange pillars and book shelves of this Realm, I pulled Elika back and covered her mouth as I caught a glimpse of something in the doorway ahead of us.

Letting go if her mouth, I took out a small glass shard our of my pocket and looked at its reflection around the corner.

Two Seeker's...

That's much better...oh no, Gods help us...

Miraak...

He had just entered the room!

I won't have enough time to use it!

I turned to face Elika as I mouthed to her without uttering any sound.

'I need you to get caught.'

Her eyes flickered with shock and fear at my request.

She gulped silently as she mouthed back to me.

'You will save me, right?'

I paused in giving an answer for a moment, she saw this and her eyes wavered.

I was momentarily caught off guard on how to answer her that I didn't realise.

No words can reassure her...

Ah Fuck It!

I leaned forward and kissed her on the lips!

Elika's eyes widened at my action, she didn't resist and enjoyed the kiss for a few seconds before I pulled away due to the current circumstances.

She looked into my eyes with a newfound resolve and determination, but also one of faith and utter trust.

I pointed behind her, indicating she should head that way.

The two us seperated from one another and I did my best to keep an eye on Miraak's position.

My heart was beating so fast I feared that he might hear it.

The Seeker's had split up and scanned around the room.

I saw that Elika had moved around a corner to evade the Seeker that headed her way, I couldn't see her after that so I made my move as well.

Fuck! I saw Miraak was heading my way!

I quickly and slightly moved while remaining as low as possible to remain undetected.

Miraak went over to the place I was previously at, as I was able to move around a corner fast enough.

I tried to see Elika to see if she was going to reveal her self but I still couldn't spot her.

I looked back to Miraak using the glass shard to look around the corner.

He stood still in place like a statue as he simply stared at the ground where I had previously hid.

Does he know?!

I quickly made my way as fast as I can to the archway, if I can escape the room, Elika can get caught and I'll have enough time to enact my plan before Miraak can cut me down, save her and escape Apocrypha!

"Aah!" I screamed as I felt a hand tightly grasp the back of my neck and lift me of the ground.

My captor lifted me off the ground with no effort at all and turned me sound as I felt another hand grasp my neck from the front as the latter hand released its grip.

I was met with confusion as I saw nothing there, where my neck was being held was absolutely nothing!

I glimpsed over to Miraak who was staring at me for a moment before his body dissolved into thin particles like white mist.

A-an Illusion!

That means!

As if to answer my unasked question, my captor revealed themselves as the Invisibility they wore was cancelled.

He was invisible the whole time?! Did he see me with Elika?!

I struggled and screamed in his grasp as I tried to get free.

"The Snow Prince...I did not think I would encounter you so soon. How did you enter Apocrypha young Falmer?" Miraak asked, his voice filled with curiosity, but every word he spoke made me feel a chill down my spine.

"You should know! Your master was responsible for that!" I spat out as I tried to voice a reply as I was being choked.

"Indeed, Hermaeous Mora does love to take advantage of those in their most dire moments to take reap the most benefits."

He seems to ponder something for a moment before speaking once more.

"Nothing comes to my mind as of now, but I'm sure I'll think of things to ask later. But for now GOL! (Earth!)"

As soon as the first Word of Power of [Bend Will] was unleashed I felt a invading presence in my mind trying to influence it!

"Aaargghhh!" I yelled out trying my best to resist the mind control as I clawed at the mask on his face and the hand that gripped my neck.

"Good. If you couldn't resist that then you would've been a useless servant. GOL, HAH! (Earth, Mind!)"

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"

****************

Elika pov:

"Good. If you couldn't resist that then you would've been a useless servant. GOL, HAH! (Earth, Mind!)"

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"

I remained hidden as I watched the masked man torture Siv!

I couldn't come out yet, I need to think of something!

He wasn't meant to get captured, I was!

Dammit!

What am I supposed to do now?! I'm completely surrounded!

"Impressive. You've certainly got a strong will to have endured that. But my fun is at an end. You will serve me from now until eternity, young Demigod." The man said as he held Siv, who had gone limp in his hold no longer showing any signs of struggling.

"GOL HAH D-"

"Krii~" (Kill) Siv muttered with emotionless eyes and a liifeless whisper.

A purple hue enveloped the masked man causing him to halt whatever it was he was going to say as he roared in pain as he dropped Siv to the ground.

The man was clutching his body, clearly caught off guard by the sudden attack Siv used on him and being unable to defend against it at all.

That was my chance!

I ran over to Siv, who laid on the ground grasping for breath, as I conjured a wall of fire to halt the Seeker's from pursuing me, while the man was still roaring in pain.

I quickly reached his body and carried him in my arms, I ran with all haste away from this place.

After a few minutes Siv began to move but twitch in my arms.

"S-stop~" he whispered out, only to cough right after.

I did as he said before settling him down against a wall.

"We need to hurry, we can't stay here any longer! That guy must have recovered by now and is chasing us!"

He ignored me, only to touch a strange bracelet on his wrist.

The bracelet released a golden light that radiated from it, almost divinely.

When the light dimmed down the bracelet was gone and a large cylinderal object was what took its place.

"What is that?"

"This is what will save us. Whatever you do, don't look at it. This is what caused your father to go blind."

What?! But that means...

"An Elder Scroll!"

"Look away! And remember the word I told you to remeber. In twenty seconds I want you to release as many spells into the air as you can."

"W-what?! Why?! That'll reveal our location!"

"Exactly. Now do it! Look away!" He demanded and I did as told.

He seemed to rummage through some other things in his hands before speaking once again, and I did as he told abd began unleashing spells to explode in the sky high above, announcing and revealing our location.

"Lady of Infinite Energies! I call upon your expanding light grant me your Unending Power to make this contract heard! By a Time not tied to our own, by a Time where what i seek to recall yet lives! By words empowered by your Deity, I recall your Spirit and bind it to the Time you yet live in, so that you may return in Body and Spirit back to ours! I summon you! I summon you to us, to serve your Mistress once more, to fight as an equal against all your enimies! I call upon your name to return to the living once more! Return now and stand before me, as one Demigod to another, Umaril the Unfeathered!"

********************

I originally wanted Sivreth to use a full custom shout on Miraak but thinking carefully over it and the secrat shit he has been doing off page.

It just wouldn't be right, it would be too much to learn a Shout that can directly kill another without suffering consequences for using it.

There were many drafts I had were he could use it, but u as the readers would feel its too op if he did have a full killing shout so I only chose to use a single word of Power which would be fair and balanced.

The only 3 main offensive shouts he was learning over these few years when he transmigrated was the original kill shout (1 word), Frost Breath shout (2 words), Ethereal Form shout (1 word).

Ethereal Form shout is not offensive but it does effect the individual directly unlike all the other shouts he had created and easily learned to enchant stuff. (I already explained that before.) Ethereal Form can be offensive to some extent in a few ways much later in the fic.

This is the full original kill shout I had originally wanted to have Sivreth use on Miraak.

The outcome would have been the same regardless of how many words of Power he would have used.

Kriivah, Krii, Dinok!

(Murder, Kill, Death!)

ps. did you notice why Miraak has 4 Dragons?

also why Mora has 4 Dragon Priests in service to him. don't forget that all of them made seals with Mora but went made with corruption like Sivreth previously had although mentally and not physically, and Miraak is the only one to resist it.

Dragon Priests

Ahzidal

Zahkriisos

Dukaan

Miraak

Dragons

Kruziikel - any Dragon type

Relonikiv - any Dragon type

Krosulhah - Frost Dragon type always

Sahrotaar - Serpentine Dragon type always

it is said there was a female Dragon priest who was abandoned by her Dragon when she showed she was a failure.

this means that each of these named Dragons and Dragon Priests had a paring with one another which would make sense why all 3 Dragon Priests serve Miraak and all 4 Dragons serve Miraak, obviously he used Bend Will on them, but three entered inside Apocrypha somehow and Krosulhah directly says Miraak had sent him.

how is that possible if Miraak is in Apocrypha, it means Miraak can communicate with the outside world and to Krosulhah who serves him.
