Case 1.04

There was only one thought which troubled the gray, short-haired cat, and it was about what exactly happened to him this morning. The motive of the perpetrator was also another thing which was still unclear. So, as of that moment, he thought that it may have been a prank played by someone from the staff, and he won't allow it to be repeated again.

So why is he at the museum again? One was because he was confident this time that he could tackle whoever came for him, and the second being the driving force of impressing the female he likes. It was decided that he would complete the necklace by this day.

Despite the fact that it was midday and the exhibition was open, the cat had a plan to kill them anyway, and it was to wait till lunchtime when the exhibition gets shut for three straight hours.

As lunchtime arrived, the cat sat on the pavement by the road rubbing its butt, staring at the old museum like building with intent eyes.

Everyone saw in the direction Gino pointed out. A gray cat rubbed its chafed butt as it looked towards the old museum like building.

"I am catching it this time." Gino stood up.,"Don't try to stop me."

"No! You don't," A white snake wrapped around Gino's torso, bringing him down onto his chair again.,"Finish this first." Fairy brought forth a slice of pizza, which she snatched from Gino's hand earlier.

"Eat mine first" Tale brought forward her slice of pizza in a competition with her sister. Two slices of pizza pressed against Gino's lips, smearing red sauce and cheese all over.

"Not again, girls. You are starting to irritate me." Gino frowned.,"I promise that I will stay with you until tomorrow. Now let me go."

"Really?" asked Fairy, pulling away from his face like her sister.

"Yes"

"Pinky promise?"

"Pinky promise."

The sisters raised their fists with only the small finger pointing up.

"Can you..." Gino pointed his eyes towards the white snake which wrapped around him.

"Oops!" The white snake retracted back inside the frock, and the black snake did the same after putting the empty pizza box in the middle. Lix looked at her phone as she stuffed herself with the last slice of pizza.

"Pinky promise." Gino repeated after shaking their small fingers.,"Now help me catch that cat. It might try to run away when I get close to it."

"Ok sure."

"I will save this piece for later." Tale said placing two slices of pizza inside the box before packing it.

Wiping his hand and mouth with a tissue, Gino stood up alongside the sister, his eyes set on the poor cat who sat with its back towards him.

"Aren't you joining us Lix?" Gino asked Lix, who was down to her last bite.

Lix smacked her fingers and wiped her hand with Fairy's frock.

"Hey!!" Fairy pulled her frock away, giving the eye to Lix.

"Let's go" Lix stood up, flung her chair behind, and it went straight crashing into the entire window.,"Oops! I slipped."

No one expected this. The restaurant was flooded with warm air and the unpleasant commotion from the outside. Either the people inside were still stunned by the event or they were afraid of Lix, because no one uttered a single word.

"Oh no!" Lix dragged her fake exclamation. She didn't even try to sound real.

Gino's eyes searched for the cat, which was no longer sitting there.,"You did that on purpose, didn't you?"

"...." Lix shrugged.,"By the way, will you finish the rest of the lunch or shall we go after the cat."

Startled by the glass shattering behind him, the cat jumped onto the top of the streetlight by its side.

"These stupid humans, and their stupid fights." The cat cussed as it jumped onto an adjacent streetlight.

After finding an open window, the cat sneaked inside the building and went directly to the room with the prey. There was no one around as it was lunchtime, and he could only see the cleaning robots doing their jobs.

The second time this day, the cat walked on top of the fish tap. He was still able to identify which Goldark he chose earlier in the day.

"Here I come." His claws popped out and a hungry look on his face reflected in the water.

"To be honest, I expected you to be enraged with me right now, and I'd have to try to calm you down." Lix said to Gino as they entered the exhibition. With her hands over her head, she stared at the fancy ceiling of the building.,"You even ordered another pizza. I didn't see that coming, either."

"Need to check the surroundings, possible culprit here." Showing his badge, Gino said this to the dingy looking security guard at the entrance. The guard suspiciously looked at Gino first and then at the three women who followed him.

"Who are they?"

"My sidekicks." Gino answered and entered inside the empty building.,"Can you tell me where the Goldarks are?"

"I don't know, it's on the chart over there. I am a guard, what more do you expect from me."

Turning behind, Lix stepped close to the guard and caught him by his collar, lifting him onto his toes.,"Tell him what he wants or I will..... Fill in the worst you can think of."

"Sec... Second floor, last room to the right." The frightened guard spoke aloud like a parrot.,"Any... anything else?" He shuddered.

"No" Lix released him and went back towards Gino and the sisters with a calm face.,"Don't say I am not helping."

""Show off"" The sisters said in unison.

"Well... I don't know what to say. But let's go to the second floor." Gino led the way and the three women followed him without fighting.

There were a lot of odd looking things set out on display, but Gino didn't waste his time on them. His eyes were set on finding the cat. Anyway, he wanted to return here once he caught the cat. For business purpose only.

"Wouldn't it be easier if we scattered and searched for him?"

"""Nope"""

The corridor was well-lit with day-light from the large windows. Gino and his team were headed towards the last room on that floor. Hoping to find the cat in that room, Gino peeked inside from the window; Lix's head on top of his and two snakes, one black and the other black also peeked along with him.

"Did these girls use that baby shampoo on you again?"

"This is not the time to ask such questions Lix, concentrate."

"Yes we did." Fairy whispered.

"He is smelling the same down there too." Tale continued.

Gino's cheeks flushed. Lix sniffed his head again.,"Not bad girls."
