Ivan instructed as he took a quill and parchment and briefly wrote down how he had created the Philosopher's Stone by learning from Nicolas Flamel.
At the end of the letter, Ivan hesitated for a moment, but did not go out of his way to ask Isiah to hide the existence of the Philosopher's Stone.
After all, owning a Philosopher's Stone was not something to be ashamed of. With his strength, no one would dare to snatch it from him. Instead, he could use the Immortality Potion to lure some people to join him.
"When you return, deliver this letter to my mother." Ivan folded the parchment and handed it to Dobby, then rubbed his chin and murmured to himself, "As for Voldemort's infiltration of the Ministry…"
Ivan closed his eyes and thought for a while, constantly using Occlumency to search his memory. After about three minutes, he opened his eyes and spoke.
"Have them check out the Ministry of Magic officials, Yaxley and Auguste. They may find something, but instruct them not to alert the Ministry before the official operation begins…"
Both Ministry officials defected to Lord Voldemort and became Death Eaters, passing on crucial information to him. Yaxley, in particular, later used the Imperius Curse to control the Chief Executive, using it as a springboard for Lord Voldemort to gain control of the Ministry.
Although the current situation was very different from the original time and space, and Yaxley and August might not be willing to side with the Dark Lord again, there was no harm in checking…
"Dobby will tell Mrs. Harls everything…" Dobby assured her, patting his chest as he took the parchment. He looked at Yvonne with admiration.
These days, Ethia was troubled by the Ministry's antics, but Ivan easily came up with a solution.
"Did my mother give you any instructions other than those two?" Ivan asked.
Dobby shook his head, then nodded, and hesitated for a moment before speaking. "It was Mr. Dougett who wanted me to ask you privately when they would be ready to move."
"What? You can't wait any longer?" Ivan raised his eyebrows as he replaced the diadem in the drawer.
He certainly knew why Doggett and the others were in such a hurry. After all, they were already the number one force in the wizarding world, and yet they were being suppressed by the Ministry of Magic.
"Sir… sir is the greatest wizard and should be the greatest Minister for Magic ever known!" Dobby said, mustering his courage.
Ignoring Dobby's adulation, Yvonne smiled and waved him off. "Tell you what, tell Doggett to find the right place, and I'll speak to them myself in a fortnight…"
Dobby nodded quickly, snapped his fingers, and disappeared.
Yvonne sat alone by the window, trying to sort out her thoughts and put the restoration of Ravenclaw's crown out of her mind.
There was a Defence Against the Dark Arts class in the afternoon, and Ivan had a feeling Umbridge would try to make things difficult for him, or even lock him up.
At the same time, however, he had something to ask Umbridge, and it would be best if she could provide him with a quiet and undisturbed place.
… .
As Ivan expected, Umbridge attacked without warning after two boring Defence Against the Dark Arts classes.
"Please come to my office after class … Mr. Hales!"
"Okay, Professor, I'll catch up with you after dinner," Ivan said calmly as he collected his books.
Umbridge was very pleased with Ivan's subservient attitude, although she felt a little uneasy about it. In the past, whenever Umbridge asked someone to come to the office, they would show a little fear, but Ivan's face did not show the slightest change, and he was eerily calm.
Umbridge did not think too much of it, simply attributing it to the professor's boldness, contempt for authority, and lack of respect.
When Umbridge left the classroom, Hermione, Harry and the others immediately surrounded her.
'Well, Umbridge must have known something to want to talk to you…' said Hermione worriedly.
"Yeah, are you really going to see that old witch tonight? She's not going to let you get away with this, so why don't we go see Professor Dumbledore…" Ron suggested.
"There's no need to be so nervous," Ivan said, standing up. "Perhaps Professor Umbridge just wanted to chat."
Hermione glared angrily at Ivan. This was no time for jokes.
Harry and Ron also felt that Yvonne was being a bit inconsiderate, as they had both been held in detention by Umbridge before.
Unable to find an explanation, Ivan blathered, "Don't worry, I'm a recipient of the Order of Merlin, First Class, and I'm quite famous in the wizarding community, so Umbridge wouldn't dare do anything to me."
At 6:00 p.m., after dinner, Ivan headed to the Defence Against the Dark Arts office under the watchful eyes of Harry and the others.
There was a knock on the door and a cloying voice.
"Come in!"
Ivan pushed the door open and looked around. The office had been decorated by Umbridge to look like a girl's boudoir, with lace tablecloths covering the desks and counters, as well as many pink decorations and brightly coloured cat dolls.
"Sit!" Umbridge gestured to the table and chairs as Ivan entered.
Ivan did not decline and immediately sat down in a chair.
Umbridge gently waved her wand and locked the office door, then asked with a smile, "Do you know why I called you here, Mr. Harls?"
"Do you have any questions about the school rules? Do you need me to answer them, Professor?" Ivan pretended to be confused.
Umbridge's smile froze on her face and she narrowed her eyes, speaking harshly. 'You know exactly what I'm talking about, Harles … someone reported to me that you'd set up an illegal student organisation and held a large-scale rally on your own, is that correct?'
"Technically, it was just a general study interest group, Professor…" Ivan said confidently.
'An interest group? But I'm told there are at least a hundred people involved in this illegal gathering!' Umbridge enunciated each word clearly as she stared at Ivan. 'Under Ministry of Magic rules, student organisations involving more than three people, or meetings, must be reported to me, or the student involved will be expelled…'
'I think you may have a bad memory, Professor!' Ivan interrupted Umbridge. 'Education Decree Number Twenty-Four was issued three days ago, and we did not practise magic without it…'
