"Magic."

Mauve felt her excitement diminish. She couldn't believe she had taken Louis seriously. "Don't be ridiculous. You know that only exists in books."

"Isn't it a book?" He asked.

"Are you messing with me?"

A soft knock threw her attention to the door. Mauve jerked but Louis looked unfazed. He stood to his full height and started for the door.

He pulled it open and revealed Mill. She blinked as her eyes rested on him, looking slightly confused.

"Lor…"

"Louis," he corrected. "Is something wrong?"

Mauve intensely watched the scene before her. Mill was significantly taller than her but in front of Louis, she looked smaller.

"Not particularly," she said and looked down. "Lord Kieran is here."

Louis frowned, "Isn't that a little too fast?" He asked.

"I wouldn't know but he is asking of you and I offered to come get you and take over watching Mauve."
