Execution 

"Hey!!!! Stop there," a voice echoed. It was a man on horseback, although he wasn't putting on any uniform, he looked like he had seen battle.

Our hearts started racing. Had we been found out so easily?

Frank reached for his dagger and clenched it.

"Was he a bandit?" We all thought the same thing at once.

"Orders from the leader, anyone that comes into the village from now on must be searched thoroughly," said the man.

He then saw the guard holding the bag of coins and said in a stern voice,

"How dare you take bribes? Don't you have any integrity?" said the man, but he couldn't fool anyone. We all saw the greed in his eyes.

"Bring that bag over here and let me take it into evidence." He finally let his true intentions known.

The guard looked at the man hatefully. Ever since the bandits got here, they had made life hard for the guards.

But they really had no choice. So he walked up to him and gave him the bag.

The man didn't seem to pay any more attention to us. He turned around and set off.

"Sigh," we all heaved a sigh of relief. We weren't caught, but things seemed to be getting more complicated by the minute.

"Where do we lodge? We need to do some recon," said cadet knuckles.

"My friend has an inn here. It's not great, but it's alright," said the merchant.

"Okay, let's go there then," said cadet knuckles. He didn't seem moved by the merchant's seemingly nice offer.

He didn't trust merchants much. Actually, no one in the kingdom trusted the merchants much. They were too sly and tricky.

They headed for the inn.

"Four-favored whine inn"

That was the name of the inn, but honestly, it didn't look like an inn. It looked like a ***** house.

Cadet knuckles seemed very happy, though

Frank thought "what a pervert."

If cadet knuckles could read Frank's mind, he would definitely beat him up.

The reason he was happy was that no one would expect them to hide in A ***** house, plus these places were the best places to get information.

The merchant was very happy after seeing the smile on the cadet's face.

But the worst was sparrow. He was very happy and loved women. Maybe that was why he and May never got along.

So they moved in and kept their carriage inside.

"Brother Lester," said a man in the distance. The most glaring aspect was His face, his nose was shaped like an eagle

"Ha-ha, brother eagle nose, long time no see," Lester exclaimed.

"Hey!! How many times have I told you to stop calling me that?" the man said angrily.

He then looked behind Lester and smiled. He said, "I can forgive you brother Lester on the count that you brought me some customers this time." said the man.

He then walked toward Knuckles and said "you're welcome to four flavored whine inn, noble sir. Please come in. We can definitely satisfy your desires."

Cadet knuckles smiled and followed behind the man with a sweet mouth. The man kept on offering words of praise to cadet knuckles, even though knuckles told him that he was only a guard.

The man didn't really respect cadet knuckles. He just thought a man like him would really love women. He called it instinct.

We could only sigh. Cadet Knuckles had left, and sparrow had a hesitant look on his face. He really wanted to follow him, but he controlled himself.

"Sirs, come, let me show you where you will be staying," said Lester.

Frank nodded but sparrow was lost in thought. He was regretting it.

"There it is," said the merchant, "it might be small but you will have your privacy and no one will disturb you."

"Good"

Sparrow just went in and chose a bed and laid down.

"Merchant, please take a seat," said the sparrow.

"Thank you for the hospitality, but I have some business to attend to."

"I said come in and have a seat."

The merchant could only bow his head and walk into the room.

"Tell me something about this village," said Sparrow.

This village is called Li Village. It is a small village named after the first family that settled here. Although the family is still strong, the village is currently controlled by The current head, who got into power with force, he is a greedy and selfish old man who would do anything for his own benefit. He worked with the bandits to take control of the village, imposes high taxes, and doesn't care about the village's welfare.

The sparrow and I listened attentively since cadet knuckles had gone to explore; we had to listen and gather info or they wouldn't even know how they died.

"Do you know who the bandit leader is?" asked sparrow

"No I don't, but the name of the group is the Riverside Marchers," said the merchant.

He looked at sparrow's face to get a read on whether he had heard of the bandit group before, but he was met with a blank expression. He had no clue who his person was and he didn't care.

That was sparrow for you. He simply didn't care. "They are probably small, we'll be in and out in no time." he commented after a while

"What about prison? Do you have a prison or a place you keep criminals?" Frank asked the merchant.

he was worried about Jake and Joey.

"Of course, we do. We have guards, don't we? So, it's normal to have a guard house, "said Lester So how could this guy miss it? He was just too inexperienced.

Frank looked stupid because he cared. To ask, come on

"Was that meant to be funny or what do you think? Do you think we are easy to offend ?" Sparrow said with a visible trance of anger on his face.

"I'm sorry sir, I was out of line." The merchant hurriedly said. He bowed his head. This guy was really aggressive. It was just a bit of fun.

"If you try that again, you'll see my worst side," sparrow warned.

Was there a worse side other than this one? The merchant was terrified.

"Apologize to him," said Sparrow.

"Sir Noble Officer, I apologize for my outburst earlier. "

"It's okay to stand up," said Frank.

"No, Frank, let him kneel; don't be soft on him," sparrow said.

Frank was torn, but he just calmed down, and after several minutes of the merchant begging sparrow, sparrow let the merchant go.

"Frank, you're way too soft; if you don't toughen up, these guys will walk all over you," sparrow said solemnly.

Frank thought, "He really did behave too timidly sometimes. Is that why his dad wanted him to unlock those memories ? Was it because he was too weak or was that what his father thought of him? " Frank was angry.

When Sparrow saw that, he smiled.

The door suddenly opened.

"Hahahahaha brothers, I hope you're settled in alright over here."

It was knuckles. He was intoxicated. "Come come, I brought some booze and info," he said.

"But unfortunately I've forgotten the info part," he added.

Then collapsed on the floor.

I tried to pick him up but Sparrow stopped me.

"Let him sleep there."

I only looked at cadet knuckles with pity. He was drunk and stupid.

morning at four flavors whine inn

"Ahhhh my head," cadet knuckles said as he rose from the floor and jumped into bed.

Frank, who had woken up 30 minutes ago for his workout, only sighed.

Sparrow was also awake Sprague was a lazy person, but there was one thing he never neglected: training. His goal in life was to become strong.

"Come, let's go and scout the place out," said Sparrow.

Frank stood up and followed him, although he didn't want to. He knew sparrow was prone to troublemaking. He had to follow him to make sure he didn't cause trouble.

They got dressed and went down the stairs where they saw the merchant Lester taking some wares and putting them into a sort of storehouse.

"Hey Lester, come here," said sparrow.

Lester panicked because he was supposed to be his assistant To the outside world, not the other way around, so he looked around before approaching sparrow.

He said in a hushed voice, "What can I help you with, sir?"

"We want to see this small village market take us there," said sparrow.

"but…."

Sparrow glared at him fiercely.

"Okay, let me get the horses or we go on foot; it's not far," said Lester.

"Let's go on foot; we need the exercise," said Frank.

So they started walking. A few minutes later, they were at the market.

"Agh, so many ordinary items," sparrow said, with contempt in his eyes.

But suddenly a horse came by.

"In three days, the village head will be executing some spies in the village square. Everyone in the village is invited to attend. The lord cares for the safety of all in the village and will do anything to protect it."

Frank and sparrow looked glum. They knew the spies the man was talking about were Jake and his team.
