Duncan and Alice stood at the bottom of the staircase leading to the hold, witnessing a bizarre and horrifying scene—the bottom of the Homeloss was in a fragmented and shattered state, and beyond the broken cabin, there clearly was some kind of void filled with endless, dim, twinkling light.
Is this the true "hold structure" of the Homeloss? And what is that beyond the shattered cabin?
Could such a sight really exist beneath the surface of the Endless Sea?
Duncan cautiously took two steps forward, entering the fragmented cabin. He stepped onto the largest splinter of wood and looked back in the direction he had come.
That "final door" still stood silently in its place, fixed upon a floating plank of wood, with a dark staircase behind it, sloping upward—however, around the door, there were no walls that should have been there, just vast openness.
That door was floating desolately in this space.
