Chapter 56 Elemental Sword

Crash*

Licht raised his head coldly, looking at the other party with determination in his eyes. This was the most powerful foe he had in his life and he knew he had to win this fight because people were waiting for him in his home.

" I won't lose. Not yet!"

He muttered under his breath, feeling his heart beating under his clothes. His teammates were fighting as they planned but he could tell they had to take the upper hand sooner or later. Otherwise, he would escape from them by using his plan.

" Ignite!"

The sword in his hand trembled with fury, igniting into flames that had never seen before. This was his first time using the sun's power but he felt familiar. It was a similar sensation to his ice power but it was warmer and gentler to it.

" Begone!"

Agam pushed Xerxei with his sword which he never took up in prior battles. Unlike his other weapon, this weapon was much more complex and dangerous, so he only used it in the mansion.

The former sword of the glory glittered under the light of the sun, combining them into one large light source that chased the crimson light away.

They were betting everything in this battle in the hope of their victory and the goals that were hanging around their heart. The chains of mortality were the reason for their intent and the voice of the life was their motive for their movements.

Two giant swords collided against the blood wall that was wailing with the cries of thousands of souls. The grotesque-looking wall emitted a fishy bloody smell of wall coupled burned smell of blood made them sick yet they never backed down because they saw the others behind their backs.

" Don't forget me too!"

Rammes took off his helmet, revealing his aged face that was hardened through the years. He held his sword in one hand and used his other hand to summon a light shield to cover them from their spells while taking the damage instead of rearing people.

" Mana discharge complete! Aiming! Fire!"

Regina held her rifle as her rifle glowed with the light of mana. It was a powerful ability of her rifle that used heavy mana as it dealt powerful blows like high-tier spells. However, the downside was her rifle would crumble after using it a few times even if it was an almost an artifact level weapon.

Boom*

Her mana bullet pierced the thick wall with ease, shattering everything in its way. Furthermore, it mortally wounded Xerxei who was caught off guard when he was fighting against Licht and Agam.

" Transfusion!"

The blood that was dried on the ground as well as other living beings except Licht and others were used as fuel to regenerate his body.

Xerxei was looking like a zombie more than a human because his body was getting thinner yet his eyes were locked on them like he was ready to swallow them.

" Now!"

Rammes shouted loudly, signaling his companions to attack as other inquisitors and Daemon, Mikael came down with their all might. Even Cynthia who usually used low-level spells, used her all power to channel powerful spells to injure him and pierce his shield.

Daemon's shattering sword with Mikael's deadly shots was able to strike him down, making inquisitors circle him around as they used their power to create a barrier that caused huge debuff on him.

Moreover, they also switched their positions to constantly attack him from the sides, so he was unable to deal with them which made him laugh.

" Kuhaha! I have lost."

The bitter laugh escaped from his mouth, knowing his inevitable doom was coming down to him but not yet. He still had one thing under his sleeves, hiding inside the collapsed dune where he believed they wouldn't find out.

The eerie scarlet symbols lit up inside the dune, summoning something that existed outside of the world. A sinister existence that lived inside the nonhabitable place. A place where nothing exists yet something exists. A place where the nightmares resided and unexplainable thrived.

"Roar!"

The beast opened its eyes, looking around its surroundings with intent to destroy and devour. It was the creature from the end and it had come to this world to devour every single thing like its kind.
