Chapter 1 The boy

This world is the world of magic and sword. A few centuries ago, there were gods, dragons, elves, fallen, dwarves, orcs, beast men and sea races were dominant force. However the times have been changed.

So called gods left this world or was forgotten and other powerful beings faded from the eyes of humans. Great civilization of goblins have been crumbled down to the ground as elves retreated back to their forest. Dwarves left to the underground to create their glory once again. Lastly, dragons vanished without any traces. The 5 great clans left without any notices.

The greatest enemy of humans, orcs also disappeared without any traces along with ogres and trolls. The beastmen once again raised their curtains.

Hence, humans lived peacefully except for their wars. They dominated the entire continent with their power. Mages, knights and other specialist became the most respected proffesion. Those who followed light's footstep faded into darkness.

Humans have forgotten their greatest power. Only a few guarded light with firm belief.

Near Forest of Darkness.

A small log cabin with clear windows can be seen from the far. It is home of Silvercrest family who once was a prestigious knight family.

A burly man with plain clothes came out from the house as he went to the shed. He grabbed his long iron axe and went to the forest.

" Licht, do your homework and watch your siblings."

A young boy with platinum hair shouted.

" But father, Richard and Edward don't listen to me. Only Serina listens to my words."

Edmond sighed with distress as he looked at the sky. He saw it was already noon.

" Your mother should be here soon. Don't come out until you finish your homework."

Licht sulked a little bit. Even so he obeyed his father. He wasn't a rebellious child.

He turned his towards to his siblings and warned with a serious face.

" Edward, don't destroy something. You know mother would be angry at us."

Edward grinned and nodded to him. His body didn't look like a child. It was similar to teenagers even though he was a 10 year old boy.

As for Richard, he was a docile looking boy unlike Edward. He was skipping through his book as he gestured them to be silent.

Licht sighed and looked at his sister. Serina who was only 5 years old, had clever looking eyes and beautiful hair like his brother. She smiled and said with a respectful tone.

" Rest assured brother. Serina can finish her homework by herself."

Licht smiled at her and patted her head.

" Children, I am home."

A young woman with platinum hair opened the door. She had beautiful sapphire eyes and face.

Serina immediately ran to her as she tried to hug her. The woman smiled and picked up her daughter.

" Serina, have you finished your homework?"

Serina shook her head.

" Not yet, mom. Brother told me to finish early."

Alice chuckled and looked at Licht. She picked out an apple from her pocket.

" Licht, eat this. By the way, have you checked your father's lunchbox? He always forgets it."

Licht ran to the kitchen and saw the lunch box. He rubbed his forehead.

" Ah, again."

Alice heard Licht's voice and came over. She smiled.

" Silly of him. Licht, deliver his lunch to him."

Licht nodded and took the lunch box. He dashed to the forest.

Alice shouted.

" Licht, don't stray from your road. Forest is a dangerous place."

Licht waved his hand back and ran to the forest.

1 hour later.

Finally, Licht had made it to the clearing. He saw his father who was chopping the wood.

" Dad, you forgot your lunch again."

Edmond stopped his movements and looked back at him.

" Ah, my bad. You can leave there. Go home early and help your mom."

Licht didn't mind it as he placed it on the log and went back to his home.

10 minutes later.

He was walking along the path, but he suddenly felt his ears were buzzing. Licht groaned.

" What is happening?"

A gentle voice came out from the woods.

" Come here."

Licht felt suspicious about it. Even so, his head was hurting so bad that he had no choice to go.
