What one can get from being obedient

"Master, the arrow is poisoned."

Zhang Zhengyang held the girl in his arms, his eyes didn't leave her once.

The culprit had already been caught. One of the assassins had hidden themselves to give that final attack. After they figured they couldn't kill the Crown Prince by attacking head on, they decided to do this. If it hadn't been for Zhao Xing who had blocked it, the person lying on the ground would have been Zhang Zhengyang himself.

They no longer continued with their journey, fortunately among the Crown Prince's people were men that had some skills in medicine. Zhang Zhengyang had some of his female guards treat her wound.

"Master, we could only treat the wound to some extent, we would have to take her to the nearest city for proper treatment. But moving her isn't really convenient…"

Zhang Zhengyang was silent. The nearest city was a bit far from where they were. He looked at Zhao Xing, she had been poisoned twice, one poison had been treated by his people, the other, only the poison master had the cure.

Zhao Xing was still unconscious, her complexion was ghastly pale, but her face was as calm as one that slept. "Why hasn't she woken up yet?"

"This servant isn't exactly sure why, but it should be from the shock…"

"Master, could it be related to that poison…" Xiao Chen who stood beside his master couldn't help but speak out.

Zhang Zhengyang wasn't sure, but he wondered if the other poison would cause complications. He suddenly regretted not having his best skilled men with him. Most of those that had followed him could only treat wounds. And weren't adept in curing certain rare poisons.

In the end they left for the nearest city.

Zhao Xing had yet to wake up even after being treated by the best physician they could find.

"Sir, this one has tried his best, the young lady has lost a bit of blood, she would need to recuperate, then she'll be sure to awaken."

"She had been poisoned prior to this, I wonder if it would affect her?" the Crown Prince asked.

"This physician hasn't detected any other poison apart from the one which was treated

Zhang Zhengyang nodded. Well it was the Poison Master's doing it should be expected that his poison went undetected.

They stayed with the mayor, Xiao Chen had immediately shown their token of royalty at the city gates, the men at the gates didn't dare delay and brought them to see the head of the city. The city head invited them to his house, and got the best physician to treat Zhao Xing.

The sight of Zhao Xing lying in bed, unconscious felt strange to him. He had seen her in such a state, but that was long ago, they had spent so much time together, he was suddenly not used to her being silent like this.

"Last time they reported that my second brother was on his way back, it has already been some days since then, what do you think? Have those people succeeded?" The third prince asked as he picked a chess piece to play. At the other end of the table another man sat.

"If they succeed wouldn't I lose all my money?" The man responded.

"Sighs, if they don't then I'll be rich, third brother be prepared."

The third prince smiled gently at his brother's words, "That reminds me, you didn't bring your little friend with you today, here I was thinking she'd come, I had the kitchen prepare her favorite snacks, who would have thought." He said with a pout.

"The little rabbit beat me, so I had her punished, she won't be allowed to come out for a while." He said with a frown as he remembered their argument from a few days ago.

She knew he was going to do anything to get his brother killed, she should have expected it. In the end she made a big fuss and threw a tantrum. It was alright if she was annoyed because of anything else, but she just had to be angry because of his brother the Crown Prince. She had even tried to sneak out of the manor multiple times. He had given her all the freedom she had asked for. When he realized she had tried to follow the crown prince when he had been on his way to the south he had locked her up for a few days and punished the maid that had followed her.

In the future he had to be careful with her.

"Oh, that's sad. Rabbits are cute and adorable, but they do bite sometimes, especially when they get cornered. It's not also good for their health if they aren't happy." Said the third prince.

The Fourth Prince chuckled. If Zhao Qing asked him for the stars in the sky, he would bring down the heavens for her. Happiness? He could give her whatever she wanted to make her happy, but she didn't care about him, and wanted to be with someone that didn't even remember her face, not to mention her name.

"It's not hard to be happy, let the rabbit be obedient and its master would surely spoil it"
