Chiaki's ears rang. It felt like she had dived deep and she couldn't hear anything as everything was muffled. She was deaf to the outside world, she was only able to watch Lance Hua's expression and smell his scent, but she couldn't hear anything as the realisation hit her like a truck.

"What?" That was all what she could pull from her mouth.

Lance Hua repeated the sentence. Still, she couldn't understand. After observing her reaction, Lance smiled softly and left her side. "I'm going to ask Sea and Poplar to bring some osmanthus tea and snacks here. Have some bites first and then we can continue talking."

Chiaki pulled his hand, but he shook it gently. "I'm not going anywhere. I'll be back. One minute, okay?" Lance left a kiss on her forehead.
