Mother

Lin's POV

I don't know why but something is wrong with Mia. My whole body was trembling. My face was covered in sweat and tears flowed down my eyes.

"Ugh...", I grabbed my chest.

There was a sharp pain in my heart and then a sharp pain started in my neck as well. A strong flash of light came out from the left side of my neck, "Ahhh...."

I opened my eyes and found myself in a strange place. I was laying beside a lake. I got up from the ground and looked around but there was no one. There was a familiar tree near the lake.

"The healing tree ...", I remembered.

I went close to it and touched it.

"Not only this tree but the whole place is a healing place", a familiar voice came.

I turned around to see the speaker. I freeze at the sight of the person.

I took a step forward, "M...mo...m..."

I ran and hugged her, "Mom, where were you? Why did you leave me like this?"

She hugged me back tightly, "My dear Li Li. How have you been?"

"*sob*How could be a motherless child?", I was unable to stop my emotions.

She touched my head," Who said you are motherless? Your mother had always been with you, my little boy."

After a while, both of us sat near the tree. I was really happy to be able to see my mother. I kept looking at her feeling happy all the time.

She looked at me and chuckled, "Stop looking at me like that."

I stared at her, "Mom are you alive."

I touched her face with my finger. She grabbed my hands and smiled, "You grew up into a handsome young man."

I smiled at her and then I remembered Mia. I looked at mom, "If I remember correctly, I had a nightmare that woke me up, and afterward I was having heartache. Then a light came from my neck and I was here. Where is this place and how come you are here?"

She smiled and gave me a peaceful look, "Calm down, I will tell you everything. You are as curious as you were as a child."

She touched my face and tears came down her eyes. I wiped her tears, "Mom..."

She grabbed my both hands, "I am fine. Li Li you are in the spirit stone realm, where spirits and souls can enter. I died but my soul enter this stone. It might be because I had some incomplete duties to complete and then my soul will also go away to the place where every dead person's soul goes."

"Mom, will you leave me again", I looked into her eyes feeling sad.

She looked down at my hands," Lin your soul has entered this stone and should get back as soon as possible, or else you will die."

"But mom I won't leave you...", I was really unhappy.

She sighed, "Are you sure you will stay here and let Mia die?"

I stared at her in shock, "What do you mean by that? What is wrong with Mia? How do you know her?"

There was a sad expression on her face, "Do you know anything about my family?"

I shook my head.
