The whole becomes silent as everyone wears the mechanical gills but I stare at mine for a few seconds, studying the nooks and crannies of it, and place it on my mouth.

It instantly sticks and covers the entirety of my mouth and nose but it doesn't feel weird or heavy, as if there is nothing there at all.

A device that functions like an actual gill by picking up oxygen in the water and sending it into our lungs, impressive but not extraordinary.

"Prime, it's time."

Omni-man informs, and everyone looks at me.

"I should warn you though, the moment we step through the portal we are going to be besieged so be ready for an attack."

I warn stoically.

They all nod in response so I turn and will a portal to form in front of us.

Seeing the black bite-sized portal, Darkwing taps his wrist and a few seconds later his jet arrives. He jumps inside and with an electronic hum, the vehicle speeds straight into the portal and disappears.

The rest immediately follow and enter the portal and after waving to Cecil, I also follow.

The moment I appear in the water a few meters below the sea bed my gaze hits an extremely large and transparent dome.

Atlantis, the highly advanced capital of the Atlantean civilization stands behind me with a large dome shielding the city.

<Boom!>

<Roar!>

<Splat!>

<Bang!>

Suddenly, my attention cuts off as loud sounds of explosions, roars, screams of pain and war cries assault my ears so I turn.

Ahead, thousands of Atlanteans in futuristic suits of armor, Aquarus, Omni-man, and the Guardians are busily fighting the Leviathans.

Below, on the algae-covered seabed, hundreds of Atlanteans in their futuristic suits of armor lie dead with some of the Leviathans but for every Leviathan dead you'll see a hundred more Atlanteans.

Using their futuristic hover-bikes, they swim around at high speeds while shooting the Leviathans with plasma bolts that kill them but when one dies, two more gangs up on the attacker and kill him/her.

The Leviathans outnumber them but luckily for them, with our arrival, the battle is steadily shifting in our favor and it's time I help them before someone starts complaining.

The next moment, I dash through the waters at ridiculous speeds with my two hands outstretched in front of me horizontally and burst through the head of one Leviathan.

Without stopping, I continue and weave through the heads of two more as they were just about to swallow five Atlanteans whole.

"You have our gratitude Surface dweller."

One of them says gratefully with a smile on his fish face.

"Don't sweat it."

I smile slightly and swim away towards the center of the battle that has Omni-man blasting the Leviathans using punches, War Woman cracking their heads with her mace, and Immortal ripping their heads off.

Darkwing's jet can also be seen cruising the water sending rockets and missiles to blast the creatures but they just injure and further enrage them.

Some of them begin to chase the jet with rage-filled eyes and catch up to it, intending to crush it with their powerful jaws but Black Samson, Martian Man, and Green Ghost come to his rescue and start dealing damage to them.

On the side, Aquarus can be seen dodging the dangerous jaws and tentacles of the deformed beasts as he manipulates the water to form large lance-like constructs to spear through their thick scales.

"Need a hand?"

I ask playfully as I arrive near one of them, grab one of the tentacles with my left hand tightly and swing it circularly into the others closer strongly, smashing them away with roars of pain, effectively killing the one I grabbed.

"I could've handled that better."

He shrugs with a smile as they slither towards us speedily with increasing speed due to their dark tentacles beating the water around them.

"Right."

I shake my head as I open my arms wide with outstretched fingers and when they get closer, bang my palms together powerfully as a clap.

<Boom!>

A large and loud shockwave emits from my palms and travels through the water towards them and when it hits, pulverizes them to pieces, making the water murkier with blood and guts.

"Tch, showoff."

He clicks his tongue playfully as he observes the scene with shock in his eyes.

"By the way, I thought Leviathans are the sacred animals of you people so why are they trying to kill you guys now?"

I ask as both of us swim away downwards towards a group of five Leviathans who are slithering in the direction of the city.

"These things are not Leviathans, I don't know what they are. Everything was normal for one moment, and then suddenly with no warning, these abominations appeared.

It's as if they appeared out of thin air, our sensors couldn't even detect them before they got into visible reach.

If only we detected them from afar like this wouldn't even be a fight. I could have evaporated them with one tap of a button."

He grits his teeth with rage as he stretches his hand with stretched fingers and sends a fast blast of pressurized water, crushing and destroying the back of one of them.

What he's saying is true. The Atlanteans as a highly advanced underwater civilization have a lot of devastating weapons that can even sink islands.

After all, you can't rule the oceans of the world if you're weak. They are a civilization I have my eyes on and I have big plans for them in the future.

"Don't worry, we are almost done with them."

I say as I manipulate the water around me using [Psychokinesis] and send a [Water Blade] to bisect them and turn to look at the Guardians, the Atlantean soldiers, and Omni-man slaughtering the rest of the Leviathans like sheep.

"You didn't tell me you can control water too!"

Aquarus exclaims with shock, making me chuckle.

"You never asked."

I reply mysteriously and swim toward the remaining creatures. Aquarus follows soon after he breaks out of his shock.

When we arrive amid the fighting, I stretch my hand and clench it.

Instantly, flesh-popping sounds and shrieks reverberate through the area as the remaining Leviathans explode into pieces.

Everyone moves backward and looks at me with surprise as the whole area becomes saturated in black blood and numerous body parts.

"And we are do--"

<Shriek!>

"Oh fuck me."
