Chap 79 - Did They Think This Is Entertainment?

Annoyance suddenly welled up within him, his irritation mounting.

"Did they honestly believe this was some sort of entertainment?" he muttered, his face contorting into a slight frown while his dark magenta eyes narrowed in disdain. Like an annoying swarm of flies, he wanted to swat away the onlookers. However, a vivid image of a distant figure flashed before him, accompanied by a silent scream and the shocked expressions of victims, momentarily freezing him in his tracks.

"How fascinating," he murmured, his approval evident in his gestures. The distant figure seemed to grow more animated as the number of onlookers silently dwindled. The flickering light of distorted, ethereal swords swept through the air, piercing hearts and staining the ground with a chilling darkness.
