Seth's attention was captured after the Monster made its first kill. It ambushed a solitary female Guard by biting her head off. In that brief moment, Seth felt the Monster's true power and weight. It was almost ten times the weight of an elephant.
It happened fast but Seth sensed it due to the concrete floor that cracked by the monster's weight. Then it vanished!
Seth felt apprehension. Then he concentrated more to find it. The other female Guards have already reacted and were organizing.
Then it appeared, right behind them as silent as a feather in the corridor before it ran and hide.
The Manor was like a maze with many doors and corridors. It worked well with an enemy that didn't know it well but against something that perceived its surroundings through sound. Things become tricky.
Seth took a deep breath and calculated. The beast was too fast, and too strong but there was a way!
It seemed vulnerable when it was in Stealth Mode. Maybe more Guards have to die for him to get his chances.
Seth kept his eyes closed and his hand tight on his staff as he comprehend more of the Monster's behaviour. It was searching for something. It entered every room to look around.
Formalizing his thoughts, Seth waited for its next victim. This time it attacked the group of four Guards. Its fast movement evaded all their sword assaults and when it attacked it went for the kill.
Seth did not see all that as he was coming down from the roof and ran to a hidden position. He has calculated that one way or the other, the Monster will come that way.
The battle did not end well, as the Monster ran away. One down out of the four Females.
Then it attacked again.
They adapt fast this time as they evade and attack in sync, making the Monster run away again.
It's as if the monster is probing them!
The third time it attacked they were ready. A glow emitted from their combined body which blasted it away. That was what they hoped.
Sadly, the Monster's body hardened, its weight increased, the floor cracked under its weight and the blast was redirected at them. It then roared ditching all stealth!
The roar shook the Manor. and then attacked the room Maras' was in. Before it reached there….

From the direction the Monster was running, a rod, 50 centimetres in diameter, elongated and smashed on its body.
That stopped it, for a moment before the pillar was pushed back.

Seth has put the butt of his staff on a robust wall to support Pillar Strike. But the wall broke when the Monster pushed back.
Then the Monster attacked where Seth was, breaking all the obstacles with ease and it pounced on him.

Seth has already retracted the Pillar and adjusted himself with another robust wall in time, at the angle the Monster will probably attack.
Elongating another pillar this time faster than before. Thankfully, his calculation was right as the elongation of the pillar met with the pouncing of the monster.
The wall supporting the pillar cracked and shattered in no time. But that reduced the monster's momentum.
When it bites Seth's head, Seth's clothes glow!

That stunned the monster for three seconds While Seth elongated the staff to create distance by pushing himself away.
By the time the Monster was about to regain its senses, Seth was only four meters away.
Then a war cry was heard!
The Captain moved fast with a glowing sword as she slashed at the Monster's head
The Monster hardened its body, reducing the slash to a small cut. It turned fast and was about to bite the lady captain's head off when the Monster's head flew, and a spray of black blood painted the floor. And a puking stench raised from the blood.
Abuhe Vulcan stood there, his armour full of large gashes. He did not stay long but ran out.
Seth stared at the Monster corpse. It looked like a dog, with a wide mouth, reaching its neck. Its skin was coarse like a crocodile.
'This is hardcore. In the beginning, we are exposed to this. Then what do we expect in the future?'
Seth planted his now Short Staff on the ground while he crouched. His perception is at an all-time high! With the level up, his staff "Increase Perception" is sharper.
His heart skipped a beat. He was wrong.
Before, he thought there was one Monster! Now, with the level up he realized there might be more.
The other one exposed itself to drag attention and weakened the fighters while this one was betting its time.
With Abuhe Vulcan gone, and Mara's position exposed, the Monster was moving toward them in its Stealth Mode.
Seth quickly called his Attire window.

When one levelled up his attire he got to choose the type of attribute he wants. And get attribute points upon level up.
Since Seth was not exposed to any danger he never used the attribute. But he did select three attributes.

Now, he chose stealth.

With the stock file attribute points, he can make the attribute jump from level one to two. He did that to make sure his heartbeat sound did not give him away to the monsters! Yes, he breathes, he sweats and heartbeats can be heard in the game
Seth cursed as he saw the Monster wasn't following his route. But that is all good.
Short Sword!
He unsheathed it and due to his stealth, no sound was heard but the Monster stopped moving for a moment!
It sensed something. At that moment, one of the female guards almost spotted it. But the Monster moved into another room.
The Monsters applied strength to its hind legs, as it was going to make one last leap. Aiming to reach Mara's room fast.
Seth still has his perception high with the Short Sword and he can pinpoint the Monster's location.
Boom!
The monster breached all obstacles and landed right in the room and was ready to attack Mara.
Elevated Strike ~> Six Wings Heart Strike!
The aura from the strike froze the Monster for a second and a flash of blade appeared and pierced the side of its body, then to its heart. Then the blade disappeared just as fast!

As if the world froze.

This time there was no blood, but the monster collapsed into blue ashes, before a rotating disc formed and something akin to a black hole formed at the centre.
It sucked the ashes of the Monster in seconds then the disc transformed into a glowing Oval Azure Coloured Crystal. Nine symbols rotate in its halo.
The Crystal flashed to Seth and his hand moved automatically and caught it.
