As we're done talking to Laurent about several matters and are about to go home, we notice a couple that looks out of place here.

While the man is wearing a shoddy tuxedo, the woman is wearing a dress – an exquisite-looking dress – but the way it's worn looks like it just came out of a thrift store.

We look at her fake, plastic-like, faux patent leather bag with the misaligned stitching.

Her crass-looking hair accessory which looks like it's put together hastily.

Her make up overdone with an overpowering smell of perfume, probably spritzed from the test samples found in cosmetic counters of the department store.

Ah, this must be what those people are talking about – the faux riche.

We're all reminded of that random conversation some time last year.
