**Ch 343: First Generation

Not a minute later, the golden desert diminished before my eyes. Night and day zoomed on by until I found myself at a higher elevation that had these spooky web trees everywhere, which gave off an eerie blue hazy fog surrounding me. Nothing got any better, when I found people rolling in agony on the ground. Screams ripped through the blue-lit haze like they were wailing wolves dying. Most of them were vomiting and spitting out their human canine teeth. Anyone who had a missing limb, grew a new one from the tissues of their flesh.

"I believe I changed my mind about being a vampiress." I terrifyingly uttered.

"I'll be with you the whole time." Kai consoled me. "Now, walk straight to the edge of the cliff."

Lucent blue illuminating moonlight lit the entire sky as I neared the cliff from leaving the spooky trees. Serena and Vlad stood hugging in front of my view.

"I grant you permission to bite me, my love," Serena uttered softly as the moonlight shone gorgeously against her skin. She looked no more than twenty as Vlad held her. With such love, they gazed upon each other like one soul and heart.

Vlad carefully removed her long auburn hair to the side of her shoulder, and then his lips kissed the crook of her neck.

"I'll be gentle," Vlad merely whispered, and then his fangs tenderly pierced into her flesh. With a soft moan, Serena's head bent back, so Vlad held the back of her head as he carefully drank her blood. Her knees buckled, and she collapsed into his body. To make her more comfortable, he kneeled them both to the ground. Once he finished drinking her blood, he delicately extracted his fangs, and you can catch that she meant everything to him because he didn't discard her away as if she meant nothing, like how I've witnessed vampires will do with their prey. Instead, Vlad cradled her body in his arms from on his lap and chest.

Not a second later, she bellowed in pain as her body began to change. Unlike the others, Vlad held Serena as her body transformed. All the humans of a variety of ages cried out to the sky while their bodies altered into being such deadly blood-craving vampires and vampiresses.

By the time morning light had come, Serena's eyes were now redder than rose petals, and they sparkled brighter than the sun. Her auburn hair was brighter and more vibrant. Any scars on her face and body became replenished with new skin tissues. Just as Vlad called it, his wife shone as a rare majestic beauty from her once being called ugly by man. She is a divine beauty. Now, I can recall seeing her in my time-gap on the day Kai canceled his wedding to marry Rose. Serena was happily watching Rose get ready for the wedding.

For the first time, she peered through her enhanced vision until her sight found Vlad. Her love beamed like a star for him, and you just knew by that gaze they shared unconditional love.

Right that second, she wrapped her arms around his nape. "I love you," Serena whispered before her lips leaned in towards his lips. Sparks flew when she kissed him as he kissed her back.

As they kissed, Kai gave me a soft fabric to hold, and my mind veered elsewhere. Babies wailing and screaming vampiresses drew my awareness to realize I was in a tent that was filled with vampiresses in labor from each opposite sides to one another. There were so many births that the vampires had to deliver them. Outside this tent were more laborious screams coming from other tents. All anyone heard was a ton of vampiresses screaming like death had struck them. Until I heard the tiny wails from a lot of newborn vamp babies.

"Waa! Waa!"

Multiple vamp babies cried after delivery while countless more still had yet to be born. Right in front of my view, Vlad's and Morbius's wives were also in hard labor with their beds beside each other.

"This is the first generation," I uttered.

"It is. There was a blood Moon not too long after the Blue Moon," Kai replied.

"Push Aurora!" Morbius encouraged his wife as she squeezed his hand tightly.

"You can do it, Serena!" Vlad merrily cheered his wife too, as her face blenched a pinkish red.

In the same minute and second, their babies were born while you could hear other vampiresses still screaming in labor.

"Waa!" Their vamp babies wailed as the vampires cleaned them up before they gave them to their Headmasters.

Together, Morbius and Vlad held their newborn six-pound sons as they beamed the brightest right now. Although, there was a sheepish expression that was also evident.

"I guess we both lost the wager." Vlad chuckled at the irony since they couldn't unite their Covens by a marriage with them both having sons.

"I say we try again. One of us is bound to have a daughter," Morbius declared with determination as his son kicked his tiny feet free from the woven blanket while he cried.

"Would you stop playing matchmaker and give us our babies," Aurora complained with a pant in her breath. After a chuckle at her response, the proud dads gave the newborn vamp babies to their weakened mothers. And the crying gradually reduced when their mothers held them.

"He's perfect." Serena fawned at her son with undeniable love.

I had to say Mr. Collin was a handsome baby, and it goes the same for Mr. Mill. For the first time, Mr. Collin peeked his eyes open, and the first thing he saw was his loving parents doe-eyeing him with love. He cooed soft whimpers and newborn snorts as he moved his forearms to his face.

"What will we call him?" Vlad asked before he kissed Serena's head.

"Gaston Collin. The first prince of the Collin Coven," Serena announced as I smiled at the heartwarming scene to see Mr. Collin as a newborn baby with his parents.

"I love it, Serena." Aurora complimented her before she announced. "We shall name our son Mason Mill. The first little prince to the Mill Coven."

"It suits him." Morbius praised before he smiled at Vlad.

"I agree." Serena and Vlad smiled at them too.

The Collin and the Mill Coven shared a blessing as many more babies were born. Whether they were united by marriage or not, both Covens were a family already. Not even being stingy, the Royals even gave birth with the wives of their Advisors and guardians.

"I can't understand what broke them apart." I frowned.

"Tomorrow, you'll find out," Kai affirmed before he pulled me from my time-gap.

The truth will start to unfold. Leave a comment and let me know what you think so far. Don't forget to leave me a review on this novel and on the second novel. The second novel to this series will be starting soon. Thanks for the powerstones, I hope to hear from you.
