Chapter 45: Enchantment Magic

"Albus still working on some of the metals?"

Turning around I saw Pietro in his lab coat I gained an interesting look but then talked to him in a friendly manner, "Yeah. I'm still working on some adjustments seeing how metals worked together with Dust through some experiments. You seem to be going somewhere."

At this Pietro nods at that as for the last 4 days I have been training with Maria and other times working on machinery as a mechanic to get a first-hand experience.

Even though I can easily transmute it the issue that comes with removing some parts that ultimately makes it faulty and hard to remove.

I find it easier to do it by hand and get a better understanding of my tech to build for myself and to pass the time.

Pietro nods at this as he began to look around seeing Maria is not around and replied, "Hmm… Seems Maria ain't around. She'll be back later but for now, I have to head towards Atlas young man. Something came up."

Nodding at that I continued to work on building the proto-type laser gun without Dust Powered for example using the ideas of Dr. Wiley and Dr. Light from the Megaman Robot series to see if it was possible.

And so far, it's….

Meh.

I have the parts to make it function issues with the main power source and the metals are hardly able to handle the heat it generates but works in progress.

Pietro nods at this as he began to take his leave as he hurries along while I take out my journal as he bid me a farewell, "In that case, I'll take my leave then. Hopefully, Maria comes back and take care Albus. And please don't cause another Dust Explosion?"

"Ahem…. Sure."

Embarrassed by that mention of Dust Explosion sadly I have to admit I wasn't very careful in taking care of my earlier inventions trying Dust Powered resources…

Let's just say Maria gave me an extra dose of ass-whooping for causing an explosion to Pietro's workshop and had to clean it up using Alchemy again.

Although Pietro was a bit mad I blow it up.

Seeing the man leave I sigh out a breath of relief as I began to take out my research notes that are encrypted as I don't want Atlas or Mantle to know about the contents I have created for some ideas I have in mind.

Opening the page I return to my studies of Enchantment Magic contents categorized as 'FAIRY TAIL MAGIC' under a few spells I have been trying to encrypt so that no one in this world could decode them.

One of which I wanted to learn the most was Enchantment Magic so I can add properties to weapons or objects that grant them supernatural or magic-powered properties to give me or my allies an added boost.

Enchantment, Augmentation Magic, or in the singular form as Enchant, are all in reference to the magical ability that allows the user to bind their Magic or mold a magical essence onto someone or something.

The process of Enchantment amounts to the user to add their own Magic onto living or inanimate objects, thereby increasing their natural attributes; i.e. enchanting wood to make it stronger than steel, or enchanting swords into human beings with immense power.

While a normal user of Enchantment is simply called an 'Enchanter', a 'High Enchanter' is one who has immense prowess in the art.

For them, it is possible to attach their Magic in a manner that allows them to change and alter climates, manipulate the atmosphere, completely change geography, modify an organism's physique, and even vastly enhance the power of individuals past their normal limits.

But there is one main reason why I want to learn Magic from the Fairy Tail world is for the main fact that High Enchanters also have the ability to extract Magic from human beings something to be usefully in extracting the Maiden powers without killing them.

If one has enough Magic Power, they can even cast 'Master Enchants', which allow them to enchant heavenly bodies themselves.

According to Irene, Enchantments are divided into ranks starting from the basic enchantment, followed by the 'High Enchant' and 'Master Enchant'. Within a sole Enchantment could exist a sub-skill variant underneath them, such as different types of Separation, Residual Thought, and Personality Enchantments.

If an enchanter dies, all of their existing Enchantments will cease to function, and any physical changes that resulted from them are reverted.

And who else would give me such an extensive knowledge of Enchant Magic would be Irene Belserion who's a master in her field.

Thus, I began to test out my own Enchantments using my Gate to act as my Origin as I merely need to say the words to bring the Mana within me to reality but it does cost me to drain more Mana than it would normally since it's not an incantation.

How do I put the feeling exactly?

It's like trying to imprint your ideals on an object would be best to explain how I do enchantments.

Draining fast than I would like but what can I do about it?

Nothing unless I want to personally add Origins in my body which sounds tempting I would prefer to work from the ground up as getting shortcuts won't due to something Maria drilled my head a lot in our spars.

Plus, there is the satisfaction of creating your own work come to life.

Admittingly feels better to me.

But still, I have some long road ahead of me to get the greater effects of enchantments to place on my Ult. Sword later as I'm trying to rewrite the info Irene has had in the past into this journal from the most basic to master levels spells.

At best I'm doing the basics with some trouble but gradually I'll be able to surpass that limit as I began to use Pietro's workshop to use some metals and enchantment them.

Nothing too crazy more on the normal side.

You know the likes of Boost Strength, Speed, Agility, Senses, etc.

Still costly but not as bad as I would faint from just enchanting my weapons.

But next, I turn my Journal pages to the contents of 'ALCHEMY TRUTH' as I wrote down my own version of alchemy as made my own type of alchemy I smirked writing my own type of alchemy along with the alchemic runes I obtain from TRUTH to use for my gloves.

The alchemic runes are very complicated as I still need to test run some effects with some complications but it's a work in progress.

Even some Alchemy I would like to try with some magic using Crystal Alchemy to add some magic elements into them.

Hmm…

Maybe I can recreate magic cards or skill cards like Persona and use them like an actual attack used for spells.

Sounds like a good project to work on.

Writing down the contents in my head remembering from their own research as I kept on writing some ideas I could use.

Glancing at the outside of Pietro Workshop I never did get the chance to truly look around Mantle.

Actually didn't they have slums for the Faunus in the area?

Maybe I can do something good to help them reconstruct better facilities and homes for them.

Yeah.

That sounds like a good way to spend my time even if people are going to question me I might as well help do something better with my time.

Besides, I already used up my Aura to refuel my Philosopher Stone but nothing new to me being without some kind of forcefield plus I can see if I can meet Robyn's crew of the Happy Huntresses as they should be around.

Maybe I can form a contract with them or more on the lines being future helpers in the future with Robyn's political influence with Mantle.

After all, she's what I would consider a good peace-loving politician in this kind of era but maybe start out small before coming out big.

*Grumble*

Hearing my stomach grumble a bit I guess I'm a bit hungry after all.

Plus, I have Maria's Scroll's number if I'm really in a jam I could call her to have my back.

Might as well go out and have some fun for a change of pace and who knows maybe go to Atlas in my free time.

Who knows I might find Cinder there in that hotel and if she is there that's a win in my book obtaining a future to be Maiden... and there is a free Winter Maiden for grabs so it could work but that's for later.

Assuming Cinder is around but for now, my stomach demands food!
