Highschool Love- Taennie

Hello! I am Jennie Kim a 17- year- old, young- blooded, good-looking teenager. This is a story about me finding love in a reality where true love is considered a fantasy.

I have one sibling, my Oppa Yoongi. I didn't have the best childhood but one person was always there for me - my one and only brother.

My parents have always argued and fought over the smallest things until last year they got their divorce finalized.

Things had gotten pretty messy and I lived with my mother, Yoongi moved out and got his own apartment.

I praised him a lot for that but I couldn't just leave my mother alone no matter how, bad she was to me, that was until she got a boyfriend.

I couldn't stand my mother's new boyfriend anymore and begged Yoongi to let me move in with him.

It was hard convincing him but he just can't say no to me so today's moving-in day.

JENNIE POV

'OPPA!!!!!??? Have you seen my school bag?'

'It must be under the bed, check there!' he replied.

'Oh, okay!'

'Jennie, can we talk for a min?'

'Yeah, sure'

'Are you sure about this? I honestly think you're better off living with mom, you need a proper parent. I am not sure if I can take care of you'

'Come on! Oppa, you talk as if mom's ever been a parent to us. Plus, I am not a child anymore and I am sure things will work out'

'Fine, oh and btw can you give this to Taehyung?' he said giving me a black hoodie.

'You want me to go all the way to his house?'

'No you dummy, he's our next door neighbour'

'WHAAT??!!!!! Why are you telling me this now?' I said dreading at the thought of it.

You might be wondering who Taehyung is. He is Yoongi's bestfriend. His and our family have been friends for decades now so most of our lives have been spent together.

But he grew up to be a total womanizer and spends every second of his day hooking up with some girl. Well, seeing his handsome face I am not surprised to be honest, more jealous.

He was my childhood crush but I got over it, mostly.

'Oh come on, stop overreacting and give it to him' he replied.

'FINEEEEE!!! I feel as if I have been scammed' I said and headed out the door.

TAEHYUNG POV

I woke up at the sound of the bell ringing. I felt hungover cause I had been up all night partying. Great! Now it was 1 pm, I got up shirtless and headed to open the door.

Life wasn't the best for me. But my buddy Yoongi was there for me. You might think I love hooking up with all those girls but I am just doing that to get my mind off of someone.

Anyhow, I opened the door. I wasn't fully awake and saw Kim Jennie.

' I must be dreaming, what are you doing here?'

JENNIE POV

Taehyung opened the door. And to my surprise, he was shirtless and was flashing those abs and muscles. I couldn't stop drooling.

' I must be dreaming, what are you doing here?' he said.

I snapped out of my thoughts.

'Huh?!'

'You done staring?'

' Gosh, get over yourself. I hate Yoongieee Oppa he didn't bother telling you as well that I was moving in with him.

'What?'

' IKR!! but anyways I am your next-door neighbor.' I held out my hand to shake.

To my surprise, he kissed my hand and I totally didn't get butterflies.

TBH I hadn't even had my first kiss because I never had my moment.

' What a gentleman, truly'

I handed him his hoodie and he took it.

'And for god's sake, put something on' I said even though I quite enjoyed the view.

'I know you enjoyed it' He chuckled.

' Oh pleeease!' I said and went back to my apartment.

He gave me a smile and I wondered if it was the one he gave every other girl or was it genuine?

But obviously, something bigger was waiting for me.

TIME SKIP AT NIGHT

We decided to have a pool party before school starts tomorrow. It was more like a housewarming party for our apartment.

It was supposed to be a small party but Taehyung just had to invite everyone he knew.

'You know it isn't necessary for you to invite every girl you've hooked up with?'

'Oh come on! Don't be petty, just enjoy the night'

'Alright! But don't drink too much. We have school tomorrow.'

'Arasseo Arasseo'

I had invited Chaeyoung but she was busy so I guess I'll have to be alone tonight.

I don't have much friends. Chaeyoung, Yoongi and Taehyung are the only friends I've ever had. They are great so I couldn't ask for more.

In the distance, I could see Taehyung making out with Tzuyu. They were so invested in kissing. And here I was, being jealous. My heart pounded and I felt as if it was being torn away. I hadn't even had my first kiss yet.

But obviously, my heart pounded because of Taehyung making out with her knowing we were enemies. She used to bully me all the time in eighth grade, until Yoongi found out and stopped her.

My heart burned seeing the same girl was kissing Taehyung. I couldn't stand more of it and went to sleep in my room.

As I fell asleep, I wondered why I felt such a burning sensation in my heart. My favorite quote was by Audrey Hepburn

'The best thing you can hold onto is each other.'

That night, I decided to hold onto him but deep down I knew it wasn't sensible and that I would have to let go at some point. But right now, that's what mattered to me.
