The Dress

Her smile was overcome by confusion when she saw Si Mu standing at the door, but with another person.

Si Mu stepped into the room and the man behind him also stepped in. He was wearing a shiny gold sequin top underneath a black suit jacket, and black pants made of a similar fabric. His bright yellow hair was slicked back and he had a bright smile on his face that really matched his outfit.

Xu Anyi looked at the man, who waved at her and winked. Why did he look so familiar?

The man held two large boxes in his hands, and he walked into the room, seting the boxes onto her vanity as he began unpacking them like he was in his own room.

She then looked over at Si Mu, who explained, "That's Andy Gao, the stylist for Ruyi Entertainment. He was free today, so I asked him to come to help you prepare for the party tonight."

When Andy Gao heard this, he paused slightly and frowned. What did President Si mean he had time today?! He had no time today, okay? He was a very busy man! He had cancelled his other plans to come here because the big boss had called, and he did not even know who that woman was and why the big boss was asking him to style her?!

Xu Anyi's mouth fell open when she heard the man's name, because she immediately realized why he looked familiar.

He was Andy Gao!

The best makeup artist and stylist in all of Country Z, and the famous stylist for Ruyi Entertainment, who only styled the top superstars of the entire country.

How did Si Mu get him to come and help prepare her for the party?!

Andy finished setting everything up and he walked over with a smile, "Ms. Xu, please go over and take a seat. We'll start with the makeup and the hair."

She looked over at Si Mu, who nodded, and she walked over, sitting down.

Si Mu left to go do some work midway as Xu Anyi finished her makeup, and she looked in the mirror as Andy Gao skillfully applied the makeup onto her face like he was doing art.

"Mr. Gao. . ." She asked, being careful not to move her facial features too much.

"Hm?"

"May I ask. . . How you know Si M- President Si?"

Andy Gao raised an eyebrow as he paused for a second, looking at her, "What do you mean? President Si is my boss! Of course I know him!"

"Your boss?" Xu Anyi knit her eyebrows together, "Don't you work for Ruyi Entertainment?"

"Don't move your eyebrows!" He commanded, and then he casually said, "Yeah, Ruyi Entertainment is under the Si Corporation."

Xu Anyi's mouth fell open in surprise.

"Don't move your eyebrows!" He said again, emphasizing his words this time.

Xu Anyi quickly maintained her expression as her brain tried to process the new information she had heard. She did not know that the largest entertainment company in the country was under the Si Corporation.

How much power did the Si Corporation hold?! Or, should she say. . . How much power did her husband hold?

After doing her makeup, he began working on her hair, and in the end, decided to curl her hair into long and beautiful curls, using a hair clip to hold half of her hair up, leaving the other half hanging down along her back.

She looked at her own reflection in the mirror, and couldn't help but be surprised herself. She had always thought she was quite good at makeup herself, as she always did her makeup by herself, but she could not remember ever looking this good.

The makeup wasn't heavy but accentuated her features beautifully, and her hair also framed her face, bringing out her beautiful features.

Andy Gao put down his makeup tools and turned around, walking over to one of the boxes he had brought in, and pulled out a large garment bag.

He hung it up on the clothing rack and opened it, and at once, the sparkling red color caught Xu Anyi's eyes.

He pulled out a gorgeous red glitter sleeveless mermaid dress. The design was simple but under the bright light inside the room, the dress sparkled like a star in the night sky.

"Go try this on. Be careful of your makeup when changing, "he ordered as he handed the dress to Xu Anyi, and she excitedly entered the closet and changed into the dress.

The measurements were perfect for her, and it almost seemed like the dress was specially made for her, as every single curve of her body hugged the dress in a perfect way.

Only after putting the dress on did she realize that the dress had a deep V-neck that was slightly revealing, but it stopped at the perfect place so the dress did not feel uncomfortable.

She stepped out of her dressing room just as the door to her bedroom opened and Si Mu walked in. His eyes landed on her and he froze, his mouth falling open slightly as his expression changed into shock.

Xu Anyi smiled, "Si Mu, how does it look?" She twirled around and placed one hand onto her hips.

Si Mu didn't speak for a moment before he finally nodded and forcefully tore his eyes off of her, looking over at Andy Gao, who smiled proudly, "What do you think, President Si?"

"You did a good job," Si Mu said blankly, "But this dress. . ."

Andy Gao immediately stepped over, "Isn't it perfect for Ms. Xu? This dress is a custom-made dress from Kla from their newest collection. The hasn't even been released yet, but there is only one of this design in the entire world. The design time almost went bankrupt paying for it. . ."

He gulped, "And I'll probably be screwed when they see that I took it away."

Si Mu frowned, "Of course I know the design team paid a lot for it. I told them to buy it, and you are following orders from me, so it does not matter. What I mean to say is-"

Xu Anyi stared down at the dress she was wearing in amazement. Kla? That was the number one most prominent clothing brand from Country Y, and not only was each clothing piece crazy expensive, it was even harder to come by. The designer barely released any new clothes, and even when she did, she only released a few pieces for each design.

It was so hard to get your hands on a piece that whenever anyone wore something that looked like a Kla design, it was 99 percent probably a fraud.

Even in the past when she was very into fashion, she had tried multiple times to get a piece of Kla, but she was never able to. And this dress. . . it was the only one in the world?! And it was from the newest collection?! No wonder why it looked so beautiful. . .

She immediately straightened her back as she froze, afraid to move. She was wearing a whole fortune on her body!

Si Mu looked over at her and his expression changed again when he looked at her, but he quickly cleared his throat, "Isn't this dress a little too revealing?"
