A Wealthy Cave

Nicholas sprinted through the forest on foot as he pushed his Spark to the max in hopes of reaching the wreckage fast. Luckily thanks to the fog he came into contact with no Delfiends as he pathed his way. After about thirty minutes of traveling Nicholas was nearing the crash site at long last.

"HIIIISSSSSS!"

Nicholas stopped in his tracks frozen with fear as he saw a giant green Fire Shot plummeted down to the location of the wreckage site. He witnessed the shot crash and land with and explosion as more smoke began to fill the sky.

'Shit, shit, shit!' Nicholas only feared the worst as the flames grew and the smoke piled up into the sky. Upon finally reaching the wreckage site he looked on in horror as the Vault, or what was left is completely in flames. He was about sprint into the fire in hopes to save his friend when he saw a figure standing next to a unconscious man with red hair.

'Fuego!' Nicholas didn't immediately jump out as he wanted to see who this mysterious figure was as they didn't have the insignia of Camp Laz on their back. Though his patience didn't last long as he witnessed the man pick up Fuego and carry him off away from the fire.

'Oh like hell you do!' Nicholas then quickly casted a Water Shot aiming for the man's head but as the shot neared the man jumped out the way at the last second.

"PUT HIM DOWN! NOW!" Nicholas shouted as he walked towards the man holding a Water Shot in case things took a turn. Upon walking closer he could clearly get a better look at the man who had a low haircut with purple hair and shiny platinum colored eyes.

"Pretty brash move without asking who I am" Xavier stood his ground as Nicholas walked closer with the Water shot in hand.

Nicholas lowered his guard while dispelling the Water shot, "You don't seem like you're from Camp Laz unless you're the pilot." All pilots of Vaults were normally Wind Slayers that worked as transports while none usually belonged to a specific group.

Xavier then stepped towards Nicholas while staring in his eyes while the latter readied for a fight with his aura blazing. Nicholas looked back in forth between Xavier and Fuego, who was still unconscious and bloody. Seeing Nicholas eye the wounded man on his shoulder let Xavier know that he meant a great deal to him.

"Look I'm going to cut to the chase, I'm Xavier Purple a C rank Wind slayer. I'm going to be frank we need to leave in order to save your friend and not be blown with raining hell fire." Xavier pointed at Fuego who was dripping blood and groaning from pain.

Nicholas backed up and turned around "Well do you have anywhere we can possibl-" but his words were cut short as both men turned to the sound of loud foot steps as trees were being slightly bent as the noise drew closer.

A small white chimp with amber eyes and a golden tail appeared appearing before both of the men with its head cocked to the side staring at them curiously while their mouths were wide open.

Both men looked at each other back and forth nervously afraid of what the Delfiend might do or what else might show up.

"I'll have to admit it's kind of adorable...come here little guy" Nicholas had was crouched, moving slowly towards the chimp with his arms stretched out and wide.

"EEEEEP !" the small white chimp beat its chest while screeching and its aura soaring ever higher without pause.

"Shit it's a aura is close to A rank, is this even possible!' Xavier wasted no time in readying a Wind Lance in response to the growing aura of the Delfiend.

Nicholas just stood there with his blue eyes locked on the small Delfiend when it suddenly just stopped screeching and calmed down.

"I wish you bastards would hurt my poor Goldie, when he all he did was try and help." A deep but gruff voice came out from behind the small white chimp and out stepped Commander Luffy with a giant grin from ear to ear.

Both men couldn't help but sigh in relief as their eyes fell upon his familiar presence and felt even better knowing the Delfiend was his.

Commander Luffy then turned around and walked away motioning the two men to follow, which they did so with haste.

Goldie looked around for any stray Delfiends but quickly caught up to the group taking up the rear guard with it's tail swaying in the air casually.

"Don't worry we're going to a cave I had found while fleeing the fire from the Fire World Breaker. We should be safe there and get him a bit better medical attention while we wait for a rescue team."

Commander Luffy pointed to a unconscious Fuego slumped over the shoulder of Xavier.

After walking for a short while longer the group had finally reached a large cave that seemed to be illuminating a shiny blue light from inside.

They went further into the cave as the glowing light grew brighter, eventually the men reached the source of the light.

The cave was littered from all angles with a bright blue crystal like ores that gave off a natural light.

"Holy hell! Is this Savorium?!" both Xavier and Nicholas couldn't help but exclaim in unison at the wonderful sight.

Savorium was a rare, expensive metal that was found naturally throughout Volantis. It was sought after for its brilliant bright blue color but most noteably its ability to absorb and expel Prime Particles based off the element its infused with.

It not only was good for offense but perfect for defense as it was 30x more durable in comparison to steel plus it's light and bendable. All the buildings in Mistveil city were made of it since the attack of Tar, the Burrowing Giant. Though since it's so scarce it was forbidden for any one to have any outside of the top 3 Slayers of the Earth federation titled Magus.

"There must be more than enough Savorium in this cave to arm the whole Camp Laz and then plenty leftover!" Xavier couldn't hide the greed in his eyes when he says the walls of covered in ores.

"Yes. This very cave is the true reason we're here on Planet Amity. We were tasked with finding this cave and reporting it back to the Federation. Though this my 'camp' here." Commander Luffy came up behind the stunned young man and walked up to a small fire next to a rollout mat.

After hearing the Commander's words Nicholas stopped dead in his tracks before continuing. "Before the Vault was blown from the sky you told us you didn't know the planet's name and that we we're going for recon. Why the change now?"

"You catch on quick, hahahaha. Though I was never really able to fool you, you're right. This deadly planet is called planet Amity long discovered by a Councilman of the Federation." the large man sat down before sitting with his eyes closed crossing his legs and arms.

Goldie, who was now a small chimp jumped and rested on his shoulder like a parrot on look out. Meanwhile Xavier rested Fuego on the floor next to the fire and tended to Fuego's wounds.

"I'm guessing they were the ones who asked us to come here in the first place. Who was it?" Nicholas asked his question with narrowed eyes and balled fists as he awaited the Commander's answer.

Commander Luffy looked up at Nicholas before reaching into his pocket and grabbing a small glowing red orb and crushing it in his palm. "Relax it was a beacon, but it was Councilmage Osman."

Hearing the words leave the large man's mouth caused Nicholas to stand in silence with nothing but a look of pure disgust. "Of course it'd be that snake."
