Jack held the sheet in his hands and kept re-reading the single statement that was on the sheet. He didn't understand how they escaped from under his nose twice, and he pulled out his torch and began to look into the darkness. Right there, he saw another sticker on the opposite side to him, which was a winking emoji.
He was pissed off at the thought that someone is toying around with him, and the way they were communicating was something confusing to him. He turned his attention back to Harvey, who had blown a hole in his head of his own volition. He began to recall the words he said as he pulled the trigger.
"Long Live The Sin Claire. Could this be related to the prominent Sinclair family, who deal in construction and electronics? They are quite a large company, but why would someone from this department blow his head for the Sinclair Family though?", he thought as he looked at the body.
Jack was confused now, as he thought he had figured everything out, and the time countdown which was going on was only adding to his stress. He decided he needed to have a look in Henry's room before he went to investigate the Sinclair family.
He rummaged his pockets of Harvey wondering if he could find anything, and he found a letter which was addressed to him. He didn't understand why would someone have a letter addressed to him, and then pull the trigger and commit suicide.
He opened the letter and saw different handwriting, and he entered his office to make sure this was Harvey's handwriting. But the handwriting didn't match, and he looked if it matched the not he had received, but that neither.
"Then we have a third hand? But what the hell? The more I get into this, the more this is entangled. If I begin untangling, I think this is going to take more than thirty-six hours", he breathed out loud and sighed.
He was slightly feeling stress in his neck, and he twisted to release the stress. He then began to read the letter, which was addressed to him.
"Dear Jack, I am sure you do not remember who I am, but let me introduce myself. I am the one that called you during the day you entered the house of Holmes and for now, I shall remain nameless", and right after that, he stopped.
He remembered the phone call he got that day, and ever since, his life was a roller coaster. He was feeling his life was going stale, but then he got assigned to a murder case, which turned into a triple homicide. He continued the letter.
"I shall be watching over you, and if you prove worthy, I shall pass you something that Mr. Sherlock entrusted us with", the letter was over. Jack was confused as to who he was, and how he was related to Sherlock.
"But Sherlock never trusted anyone, other than Watson", he thought and pocketed the letter. It was meant for him, and if the Chief got a hold of the letter, he was sure whatever it was, he wouldn't be able to get it.
"Seems like what Sherlock said is true. The Holmes have become complicated", he thought as he walked past Steven into the car, and he climbed behind and the two of them left for Henry's apartment.
He noticed a black car following behind him, and he kept his steady and reached the place. He was about to look into who it was, and it was none other than Fiona. She was looking pretty now that she was donning an elegant dress, with a hat that covered her face from the sun. The slightly red lipstick was attractive, and Steven was gawking at her.
"Dude, show some respect", nudged Jack in his gut and followed behind her to her house. Right after they entered, Steven plopped himself onto the sofa. Jack went toward the room from which he saw Henry come out the first time, and Fiona followed behind him.
"So that commotion in the office? Was it another murder?", she asked in a shaky voice. She had yet to get used to the fact that her father was murdered, and Jack sensed it in her voice.
"Ms. Fiona, I think it would be better if you waited outside while I conducted my investigation. Now, if you may", he paused and motioned for her to leave. The woman respected his privacy and left him to his investigation, and she plopped herself opposite Steven.
Jack pulled out another pair of gloves and began to go through the drawers that were near the only table in the room. There were only papers and documents which were related to politics, and there was nothing for him to attain from there.
He turned on the laptop that was on the table, and it was password protected. Jack cracked his knuckles as he sat down and began to try a combination of passwords. He took a pause and began to reason it out.
"Okay, I've tried every possibility that I have attained. Birthdays, anniversaries, death dates, and even his wife and daughter's names. Then what would the password be?", he thought and just then, a thought popped into his head.
"What if it's…", he paused and typed in the word he thought would be the password. Right after he pressed enter, he was welcomed to a screen that had a bar running across it.
"No no NO!", he exclaimed and opened up the command prompt, only to be shown an error. The laptop was getting formatted and he tried to power it down to save the data. But the power off button was locked out, and the function was stuck.
"What if I…", he thought and flipped the laptop over, and looked at the latches that were supposed to hold the battery in place. The moment he placed his hand on the latch, he got electrocuted a little.
"If I endure, I can save it", he thought and did again, and this time the electrocution was much more. He didn't know what to do now, and to save the hard drive from getting formatted, the only way was to break the laptop.
Just as he pulled out his gun to shoot the laptop, the screen turned black, and a bunch of numbers ran across it. Jack's anticipation was high, and he looked at the screen. And the words appeared on the screen.
