Iris knew she was dreaming, but she couldn't force herself to wake up from the vivid nightmare she had found herself in. She stared at the stage in the center of the town plaza of Calaren Town, watching the dead bodies of her mother and sister hanging lifelessly from the gallows, their faces frozen in eternal anguish.

A scream tore from her throat, but no sound came out as her body went completely numb. This wasn't the first time she had this nightmare, and she feared it wouldn't be the last. Iris closed her eyes, hoping to escape the horrors of her dreams, but deep down, she knew they would haunt her forever.

"Wake up, dear." Iris heard a faint, familiar voice calling out to her.

"Wake up, my darling. You are having a nightmare."

Iris shot her eyes open and saw Killian holding her while Amelia was looking at her worriedly. Killian helped her sit up, and Iris cradled her head in one hand while trying to steady her racing heart.
