Chapter 317: The Terrifying Existence

Derosa woke up from his coma and immediately reached for the pistol at his waist when he discovered he was not bound.

He was the captain of Splitter 1109 combat team, and had been attacked by an unknown anomaly on the way to their destination.

At first, he thought that the containment facility had discovered their secret operation and used some kind of anomaly to attack them.

So, the first thing he did when he woke up was to check his weapon.

However, what he saw were unfamiliar soldiers on the alert around him. Judging by the patterns on their battle suits, they were also members of the Splitter team like him.

"You're awake?" A round-faced Asian soldier asked, "What happened to you guys? Why were you lying on the side of the road?"

Derosa cautiously pulled back to assess the situation. His team had been placed in the woods by the side of the highway. Several soldiers who appeared to be from the reinforcement team were holding guns on alert around him.
