Rock, paper, scissors

Large thick vines bent and pierced the walls of glass and metal as if they were paper; wrapping around buildings so tight that they'd shatter and collapse. It was a fearful situation, but there were no screams except for those who were squashed like bugs under falling wall fragments.

The area was noisy; everyone was talking at the same time in a loud, panicked tone. They needed to save as many things as possible and were anxiously shuffling about to do so, but there was already a great deal of damage...a lot was lost.

Shamans tried conjuring barriers to ease the damage, but the plants would run right through them, shattering them as if they were only thin glass. There were even some shamans attempting to hold the elf at the root of their distress back, but their power was inconsequential in comparison; they didn't stand a chance!
