It was night, Isabella was ready with her mother's dress. She couldn't believe how good it fitted. Her mother and her body were not the same, yet the dress hugged her body perfectly. A little short for her because she's never worn a mid-thigh length dress.
However, she felt confident wearing her mother's outfit. She wore minimal accessories and opted for lace-up white heels.
A car honked outside her house. Certainly, it was Noah. Bethany and Danny were already on their way to college. She grabbed her wings and mask and went out, locking the door behind her.
Noah got out of the car and waited for Bella to come out. He turned himself into a devil wearing a black suit with a white shirt and button-down on his chest, paired up with fake horns. Conversely, one could die on his looks.
He leaned against the car and looked toward the door when he heard an unlocking sound.
A beautiful woman came out with wings in her hand. Her petite figure was gleaming like a descendant angel. She was walking like a moon goddess, making the path saturated with moonlight. Noah felt his pounding heartbeat. He wanted to take his eyes off her, but he could not. Finally, Noah let out a sigh as he clenched his fist, and turned in the opposite direction.
"Hey," Isabella said as she approached Noah, who was standing with his back on.
Noah turned around and exclaimed loudly to cover up his emotions, "Wow! I melt. Please hold me."
"Nice play. Let's go," Isabella said and opened the back door to place her wings and mask, which she decided to put on later after reaching college. Noah looked at her side face with a soft gaze, carrying affection. In the morning, he told her about his liking, which she found odd. But she didn't know a person could be a goddess just by tying her hair and wearing minimal makeup. Her rosy lips with the mole were like art drawn by a master of the art.
"Noah, will all this be fine in the back seat?" Isabella asked with a struggling face as she was having a hard time adjusting her things and she did not want them to ruin.
"Not to worry. They will be perfect," Noah answered slowly. Subconsciously, his face drew close to Bella's face. For that, Bella felt a hot breath on her face, which made her head turn. Immediately, her forehead bumped Noah's lips and the metallic thing spread into Noah's mouth.
"What are you doing?" Isabella questioned, shutting the back door.
"I was trying to look at your things, but you spin your head," Noah answered, holding his mouth with his palm.
"I am sorry. Let me see. Move your hand, Noah," Isabella said and hold his palm, then removed it with a jerk over his mouth.
"I am fine, Bella," Noah told as the impact caused his mouth to bleed and it was fine because it happened only to his carelessness. He was so lost in Bella and tried to do something he should never attempt unless he knew Bella's feelings.
Unfortunately, Isabella saw blood near his lower teeth. In no time, she caught hold of his lower chin and asked him to open his mouth.
"O, God," Isabella exclaimed and gasped, looking at the deep-cut inner lip.
"Wait. Let me fetch the ice," Isabella said and turned when Noah's hand hold her arm and pulled her to him.
"No need. We are late. Get in the car," Noah said uncomfortably because she was so close. Her lips were near to his, making him lose control of himself.
"He wants her, all of her," Noah determined his mind to make a move fast before anyone could lay their eyes on her. Furthermore, if he knew someone was hitting her, he won't take the time to remove that obstacle.
"Are you sure?" Isabella asked with a concerned voice. Because of her, Noah got injured.
"Yep... Let's go," Noah answered with a smile, and the door opened for Bella.
"You are a fool," Bella told him with a small chuckle and got in the car.
"Thank you." Noah bowed his head in a dramatic style and moved to the driver's seat.
"I got a message. Danny and Bethany were in the college," Isabella informed Noah as she got Danny's message.
"Great. Oh, one thing I forget to buy," Noah said.
"What?" Bella asked, putting her phone away. She couldn't remember asking him to buy something.
"Bubble tea," Noah answered and gave her a smiling side-eye.
"Yes, I forgot," Isabella replied and rolled her eyes before blaming Noah, "You should have remembered the small thing. How can you win a girl's heart if you can't remember a simple thing?"
"Are you saying that buying bubble tea can win your heart?" Noah said, and he loved where the conversation was going.
"When you started hitting on me, Noah. Don't do this in front of others. They'll definitely assume something else. It will ruin your handsome reputation," Isabella said and looked ahead. They were about to reach the college.
Noah felt as though something had been completely crushed without a beginning. He wanted everyone to believe that he and Isabella had chemistry. They were made for each other. But how would this be possible if Isabella had no feelings for him?
Noah didn't answer and drove off. When they reached the college, there was an immense crowd. However, seeing the people, Isabella did not think that her college students only had come. Of course, there were other college students here and because of the mask, no one could have guessed.
"Hey, can you help me put on the wings?" Isabella asked and got off. Noah got out next and came to Bella, who pushed the wings into his hand and stood with her back on. Noah tugged the wings' hook with her dress while his fingers brushed on her smooth skin, giving him a distinct sensation on his fingers. He wanted to touch more when he heard Bella and it broke his vulnerable trance.
"Help me with the mask too," Isabella said and handed him the white mask. Noah was out of words. He followed Bella's words helplessly. She was his weakness.
Bella tiptoed and helped Noah with the mask as he was taller. And saw him wear a horned crown.
"A handsome devil," Isabella couldn't help but remark. Suddenly, she remembered Casey. A few days ago, she was forcing both of them to get together without knowing the fake facade of Casey. She was grateful to God that Noah didn't fall for Casey or who knows what she would do to him.
"Bella, what happened?" asked Noah and nudged her lightly when he saw her out of space.
"O, nothing. Let's go inside," Isabella said and went on, texting her friends to know their address. Surely they were busy with the drink and texted Bella their address.
"Bella, you go ahead. I will come a minute after I meet my friends," Noah said while talking to his friend on the phone.
Bella gave him the thumbs up and walked on. It took her five minutes to reach Danny and Bethany because of the crowd. She never had attended events before, so she had no idea about the crowd. Everyone was wearing a mask, so it was very hard to recognize friends among them.
After reaching the certain niche where Danny and Bethany asked her. However, she got lost in the crowd, not knowing who Danny and Bethany were. When one hand grabbed her by the waist and took her to the side.
"What...?" Isabella looked up and ricocheted at the person who was also wearing the mask.
"Your mask has come loose," Isabella heard the man's hoarse voice as her hand reached the back of her head. Yes, the knot was opened.
"Thank you, can you help me?" said Isabella, and the man nodded his head. Isabella turned around, and the man tightened the mask.
"Are you from this college?" Isabella asked and turned back but did not see the person. Where did he go?
"Bella!" Isabella heard her name and found two women in black dresses with drinks in their hands approaching her. They were Bethany and Danny.
"How did you two find me?" Isabella asked.
"Your location is on, darling," Bethany answered and hugged Bella.
