I do

The wind rustled through her short, dark hair locks. Like the pure, white snow, her face glimmers like the snowflakes of the winter when directed by sunlight.

The sands that softly touched her barefoot felt like soft feathers being walked into. She entered a mansion that faced the beaches, a fine sight as it was the property of the Klein family.

Upon the horizon she looked into, trying to suppress the feeling of uncertainty beneath her senses. The idea of marriage is somehow very annoying for her, it was abrupt, unlike any other, and engagement parties were not included. After the contract is signed, the next day marriage is prepared to follow. Preparations were grand, of course, but because it was so fast, Avyanna couldn't even grasp a single thing. How did Narcester even agree upon this?

Marriage simply isn't as easy as thought.

It's a commitment, a vow, how can she commit herself to someone she doesn't even know? She stared at the balcony of her room, it faces directly to were sunset, a reminder that once the sun sets and the moon rises another night starts anew in a cycle. When that happens one clearly would know that another day is bound to start, but Avyanna can't seem to get it off her thought. Once a day arose for another, she is bound to a man she knew less about.

She plopped herself down on her bed, again, her thoughts came running free as it follows consecutive questions she asked herself.

She released a heavy sigh, the day after this, she will no longer be Avyanna Klein but be Avyanna Thaddeus.

Grasping the thought of the situation, Avyanna fell asleep as the night continued.

As the sun rises, another day moves forward. Wedding bells are to ring, veils are to be taken off, and vows will form ties.

Avyanna stared at the mirror, she was still undressed and was still on her sleepers when a knock reached out from the other side of the door. She jolted and approached the door to open it. Narcester appeared out of the blue and abruptly entered the room.

He roamed around the room, he was as if inspecting the walls and curtains of every corner of the room.

"My bride doesn't fit in this kind of room, I have to reserve a new one, then," he spoke.

"No, you don't have to. I'll be leaving once the wedding starts," she said austerely.

He stepped close to her, very close, most likely. She held her breath in, backing off to create distance between them. He scoffed as it followed a smirk right after.

"Such an interesting little woman you are, little Avie. Speak, is this what you want?" he asked.

Avyanna tensed up, this isn't what she wants but this is her father's will. Her obligation as the heiress for Klein Entertainment, it's a responsibility and an order but it was never what she wanted. She gulped up and kept the empty face, as they say, keep faking until they believe it. What will the world see when Avyanna Klein, heiress of Lanxter Klein runs away from her duties? They would simply call her outrageous or so, that is something she can't be able to bear.

"Yes, I agreed upon the idea therefore, I wanted it. We've discussed it the night of signing the marriage contract, Mr. Thaddeus."

He frowned.

"Narcester," he spoke austerely.

"What?"

"Call me Narcester."

She smiled faintly, "I can't bear to be impolite around you, mister."

"Then should we rather cancel this absurd wedding?" he seemed sarcastic but deep in his eyes, Avyanna was divulged by the disappointment it proclaims.

"I believe it is not unto your liking to marry someone you just met," she said.

"Clearly, that is," he replied austerely.

"Then, why is it that you agreed upon marrying me, Narcester Thaddeus?"

He raised his eyebrow. Looking as if confused by such a question. She sighed, "What I'm saying is..." she slowly looked up at him, in his tall stature she found fascinating she spoke once more.

"If you don't like the marriage, why agree to it? You could've refused my dad and I'm not someone as easy to get along with."

He was silent, he was austere. A few moments then, he replied with an answer. His lips formed words that made Avyanna astounded, more so, she was annoyed upon hearing them. He patted her head as he leaves the room to prepare for the wedding.

Even as astounded still, a knock was heard out the door.

Her cousin, Sherri Klein was her maid of honor, she slowly opened the door and gave a warm smile unto her.

"I guess it's time to see you in a wedding dress." Sherri smiled.

Avyanna smiled back at her faintly, she approached to hug her cousin as Sherri started to tend to her getting dressed. She gazed upon herself in the mirror, seeing how she was covered with make-up, she felt nervous as the moment comes closer.

When the priest would ask her a question as she would forcefully let the answer come out. "I do."

"Such fine maiden! I knew you'd look good as a bride." Sherri cheered as she noticed Avyanna's silence.

She giggled with a faint smile, she was unlively. She feels heavy on her chest, is this what I want? Can I do this? Will I not stutter? If I save my family's company, I'll be sure to leave, all this run to her mind with her tensed-up body.

"Hush, Avie..." Sherri said softly. "You'll do fine. It's for the family, remember?"

'Yes, for the family. Now, I remember what this is for. It's not my decision to do this, I'm ordered to do this. I have to do it right.'

"Yeah...for the family." her faint answer gave Sherri frustration. It's clear to her that Avyanna doesn't like the thought of this, she had always been strong and pushed herself to the limits just to not defy her father.

Since Lanxter was the only one left in her family, she can't push herself to be defiant against him. Frustration would always catch Avyanna to fall but her father told her to not be swept away by her emotions, she believed she won't be the perfect daughter if she can't even deliver obedience to her father. Sherri knew what burden Avyanna carries, even though as much as she told her to stop pushing herself to her limits, she always never listens and proceeds to continue.

Sherri proceeded to dress her up, she's a bride, and it is required to look her finest.

Like how weddings are, she was fetched by a driver and drove off the cathedral as the ceremony started. Her father, Lanxter Klein awaited her in the halls, eyes perambulated as she entranced inside, holding a bouquet in her hand.

She felt the heaviness of nervousness tip her slowly, her father smiled at her and whispered into her ears. "Keep yourself together, Avyanna. The future of the Klein family is in your hands."

She nodded with a soft reply, "Yes, father."

She finally walked down the altar, to the groom that awaits her in the end. She felt the eyes that perambulated on her, it divulged excitement, curiosity, and judgment laid upon her.

'They must be thinking how I get to marry Mr. Thaddeus without having any connection with him, right?'

She breathed in and exhaled, 'You're doing fine, Avie. You're doing fine.'

Narcester lend his hand out once she reached the end. She looked at him and at her dad, he nodded as she hesitantly placed her hands on his and walked up to the priest.

Then, there it is — the question. The priest looked at Narcester and asked.

"Do you, Narcester Thaddeus, take Avyanna Klein to be your wedded wife, to cherish in love and friendship, in strength and weakness, in success and disappointment, to love her faithfully, today, tomorrow, and for as long as the two of you shall live?"

Narcester was silent, he glanced at Avyanna and noticed her sweaty hands. He gently touched them, and her trembling stopped, calming her down. He looked into her eyes as he grinned in reply, "I do."

She shrugged as she quickly took her hands away from his. He smiled gently and looked back upfront as the ceremony continues.

She breathed in, and the priest looked at her and asked the same. "Do you, Avyanna Klein, take Narcester Thaddeus to be your wedded husband, to cherish in love and friendship, in strength and weakness, in success and disappointment, to love him faithfully, today, tomorrow, and for as long as the two of you shall live?"

She started to feel the sweat drip down her back, uncertainty came flooding back towards her until she was reminded of something that annoyed her back at a moment.

"If you don't like the marriage, why agree to it? You could've refused my dad and I'm not someone as easy to get along with."

He was austere, quiet. He licked his lips and faced her, looking into her eyes, he replied.

"Quiet right as you say. I would've but I didn't. You're fire, Avie and I've always liked to play with fire." he grinned and left the room.

It annoyed her once again as she glanced hatefully at Narcester. 'I will get back at you, Narcester Thaddeus.'

"I do," she replied.

Narcester grinned, and so did Lanxter. They placed the rings on each other's fingers.

"I now announce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Avyanna was astounded, she had forgotten this part of marriage. She looked at Narcester, eyes widening that warn him not to. He took off her veil as she started to tremble.

'This is annoying. Don't you dare!'

He docked low to approach her lips and grinned. "Don't you dare," she whispered.

"I'd dare." he grinned with a mischievous look in his eyes.

He gave her a light peck on her lips as she flustered afterward. Everyone who attended clapped as the ceremony had come to a close. She covered her red face and hissed at him in a whisper. "Why'd you do it?"

"There are witnesses." he softly chuckled.

He came close to her ears and whispered with a facetious tone in his voice, "It's not a wedding without it."
