The Archbishop glanced at the man crouching at his feet.
He said softly, "Go back to work. In the next two days, I'll tell you what you need to do. This time, I hope you won't disappoint me."
After speaking, he stood up and stepped off the carriage.
Meanwhile, Groot, who had been kneeling on the ground the entire time, instantly collapsed, lying there unable to get up.
The Archbishop departed.
The Holy Knight cast a glance at Groot, slumped against the carriage, drenched in sweat as though utterly drained.
He said, "Get down."
Groot gritted his teeth and slowly slid down.
He stepped off the carriage.
The ornate carriage rolled away, and Groot hailed a cab to take himself back to his residence.
Once inside the carriage,
the weakened Groot allowed a smile to form on his face.
*This time, his confrontation with Rebecca had once again ended in failure.*
*But unlike before, he had pulled the Archbishop into the fray, successfully bringing him to his side.*
