(THIRD POV)

Amelia had woken up early, with a plan to talk to her daughter, but when she knocked on the door no one answered. She got herself in and was surprised to find the room empty. She sent Maya to ask where she was and got only one reply. LECTURE.

She knew what to do. Find Noah and ask him not to fill in the position. Yesternight, they didn't speak when Maya told her that she should call McKnight. Amelia didn't have to ask her husband what they should do.

It was for their daughter's goodness. 

She knew Maya wanted to graduate with her class and even if she hadn't told them what happened at the Bright Future Academy. Things didn't appear to be roses and honey. Something was not alright.

She wrote a note and left it for Blake, what she said was. Heading out to meet Gary. I have a case to ask him for help.
