Texas (Allies III) Part 10

Four people were on a quinjet flying south of Dallas.

One of them said:

"To think that one day I would work with you"

"Don't say it that way it makes me feel old" said the only man in the group.

The remaining three who were women rolled their eyes upon hearing his words.

It was the group sent by SHIELD to find and talk to Alex Wayne.

The group consisted of Steve Rogers (Captain America), Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow), Barbara Morse and Sharon Carter.

These last ones were chosen by María Hill to participate in the mission.

While they were talking, Natasha received information on the location of Alex Wayne.

"Listen, it seems that we already found him, he is currently involved in an incident in Dallas, Texas"

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go" says a serious Cap.

The women looked at him, to his bewilderment.

"Hey what's wrong?" he says.

The women don't answer and advance to Alex's location.

When they arrive, they land in a building a few blocks from where Alex is.

"How do we proceed?" Cap asks.

"Barbara, Sharon, go with the captain, I'll take care of you from the air" Natasha tells them.

Without telling them more, she leaves on the quinjet.

Captain America POV

When I saw the quinjet go away, I turned to my companions and asked:

"Is she always like that?"

My teammates just shrug.

We decide to go with that plan, and head over to where Alex Wayne is.

As we drive to their location we see the aftermath of their fight, and I have to say it's serious.

When we are a few meters from finding him, we hear his conversion with his enemy.

The one who seems his enemy tells him:

"Why do you protect them? If you tell me where they are you could escape and forget about this, after all they have nothing to do with you"

The young man attacks him and at the end of his attack he replies:

"Because of you bastards the girl who accompanies me thought that her own existence was a sin"

"First I decided to protect them because I wanted to, but now I have another reason to protect them"

"AND THAT IS TO SHOW THAT I WILL BEAT ANY BASTARD THAT MAKES THEM THINK THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE EXISTED"

When I heard his reply, I throw my shield at his enemy without hesitation.

And when the shield returns to my hand, I tell him:

"Well said my friend"
