Laurel Weaver appeared. Noah quickly looked back. The man from M.I.B should appear soon. He wasn't in a hurry; he could wait for a little while to see the organization.
Laurel Weaver worked as a deputy medical examiner in the morgue for the NYPD. She had dissected many dead bodies, but she had never seen one like this before.
This corpse was definitely not human, and it didn't have just one pair of eyelids!
She thought that her discovery might be published in a science magazine to prove the existence of aliens to people all over the world, and if aliens looked like that, they might be walking among us.
Coming out of Noah's interrogation room, she went to the interrogation room next door and said the same thing to Jay, who was still sitting there. Walking out of the door of the interrogation room, he saw a man in a black suit and sunglasses standing in front of her.
"Excuse me, you're Dr Weaver with the coroner's office, looking at John Doe, right?"
"Yes, that's right..."
Snap!
There was a flash of white light, and Weaver froze. When she woke up, she couldn't remember why she was there. 'Why am I here? I think there was a case, or something... right?'
'Forget it, hurry home, take a hot shower and rest.' 'Hey, who was that man? No, I've never seen him before...'
K took off his sunglasses while walking into the interrogation room where Jay was being held and sighed. He had really been too busy lately. He had just finished dealing with an alien committing a crime on Earth, and now something else happened over here.
'These aliens really don't care about Earth, huh, they don't fear the M.I.B. at all.'
But what really made him sad was that his partner, Agent D, was retiring because of age. The thought of going out on a mission by himself in the future gave him an even bigger headache.
It seemed necessary to train new people; he needed a new partner. And he himself wasn't young. In a few years, he would have to retire; he couldn't deal with the frontlines on his own.
Jay looked at the man who came in and pulled out the power cord of the monitor. 'Who is this man?' However, those who could come in must be their own people. 'Is he from the F.B.I.?'
"They were gills, not eyelids. Gills... he was out of breath." K reached up and made blinking gestures at both sides of his face.
'Gills? People have gills?' Is it really what Noah said, that the dead mugger isn't from the earth?'
"Who are you?" Jay asked while thinking, 'Why would this guy know such a thing?'
"Did he say anything to you? " K answered but continued to ask.
Seeing K's commanding manner, Jay instinctively regarded the other party as someone from a higher organization and answered again, "He said that the world was coming to an end."
"Did he say when?"
The playful smile on Jay's face disappeared, and the other person's expression was serious. He obviously believed his words.
"Would you recognize that weapon of his if you saw it again?" K stared at Jay.
"Absolutely."
"Well, come on, let's take a ride." K walked to the door and opened it.
"Wait, wait a minute, I've got tons of paperwork. And my friend is in the next room; he also saw it."
"Right, the paperwork is all done."
As soon as K's voice fell, the Captain passed by the door with a report in his hands, "Good work, Edwards. You can leave with your friend now."
Jay looked dumbfounded. 'When did I write anything!? I've been questioned since I got to the police station. I haven't even touched a pen!'
"You really ran this dude down on foot. That's tough, kid! Is your friend in the next room? I'll take care of it. Please wait for me for half a minute." K said and pushed open the door of the interrogation room next door.
Noah saw a man in a black suit come in with sunglasses on his face, and immediately knew that the other person was someone from the M.I.B. 'Wait, what is he taking out of his pocket?'
'I don't want to be neuralyzed!'
"Young man, you said you saw aliens today? Here, let me test your eyesight. Look here."
Noah quickly bowed his head and closed his eyes while blocking his eyes with his arms, "Wait a minute, I want to join you! "
Looking at the other party's appearance, it seemed like the kid knew what he was going to do. K's hand, holding the neuralyzer, stopped in mid-air, "What did you say?"
"I said I want to join the M.I.B, become a man in black, deal with aliens and protect the earth," Noah said loudly.
K placed the neuralyzer back into his pocket. 'Such trouble, another leak.' Many people had seen aliens before, and even their M.I.B members. Unfortunately, they weren't discovered at that time, and their memories weren't erased.
"When did you learn about the M.I.B? Who did you talk to?"
"I learned about it by chance when I was a kid, so you're really from the M.I.B? I haven't told anyone, I'm an orphan, I have no friends except for Jay. I'm perfect for a M.I.B agent, and I'm in great shape. I caught up with that alien on foot today."
Noah quickly talked about the advantages, hoping to impress K. This was a senior agent of the M.I.B, who personally caught many alien criminals, some of whom were deported, and some were sent to the prison on the moon.
"Hmm. Then you should come with me on a ride, too." Thinking that he happened to need new recruits, counting this guy in, wasn't a bad deal. Being able to catch up with a Cephalapoid on foot was a great thing. If not, he could always erase his memories.
"Hey, are you guys ready?" Jay pushed the door open and poked his head in.
The two followed K and got into K's car together.
As soon as they got into the car, Jay couldn't help but ask, "What department are you in? F.B.I.? Homeland Security? Or some other classified department?"
K looked in the rearview mirror, "Don't you know? Explain it to him; let's see how much you know about us."
Noah turned to Jay, "They are M.I.B, responsible for managing all the aliens on Earth."
Jay looked at Noah, then at K, "M.I.B? Manage aliens? ... Where the hell are you taking us?"
"You will know when we arrive." K didn't explain and continued to drive.
"Then you have to tell me your name. Do I keep calling you 'hey', or 'that guy' or just 'Mister'?" Jay couldn't keep silent.
"I don't have a name. You can call me K."
"K? No name? Noah, do you believe that someone could have no name? Even a pet has a name. What's going on? You believe him?" Jay spread his hands, feeling as if Noah knew a lot of things he didn't know.
"Don't I call you 'J' too?" Noah suppressed his inner excitement. If he could join the organization, he could meet more aliens!
After a while, the car stopped, and J looked up after getting off the car. "This is where we're going? This is Jack Jeebs's spot. He buys from chain snatchers, and he doesn't even sell guns."
This was his patrol area, and he was very familiar with all the gang secrets in the area. Why did K take them here?
"Really?" K asked him in a flat tone.
"All right, look, we'll slide up in here, and Imma put my thing down, but when I come back out, I want some real answers. Noah, we're brothers, right? "
"Okay, you go ahead and put your thing down, and I just have a chat with him." K turned to look at Noah. What this kid knew wasn't something that people would find out by chance.
