The ground burned as a fireball was launched towards the opposing Shinobi. Itachi had been measuring his opponent until now. 

He had already concluded that he couldn't match the Chunin in physical might; his speed, strength, and power were not something Itachi could face. At the same time, the man was a water-style user, as was clear by his use of many water jutsu's. 

The only way Itachi was faring right now was because of his illusions; he couldn't use the illusions of the sharingan, but his mother had taught him many different ones, those based on sound, contact, and even smell. 

' Genjutsu; bell of incantation ', 

The battle continued with both the Shinobi engaging in a kunai clash, with Itachi faring with his skill and the man with brute strength. 

The bell was only a distant sound, nothing the Shinobi would notice in the middle of the battle, but if at an important moment the sound was raised, resulting in his death.

With kuroko

'What the hell is this speed?' Kuroko thought as he barely escaped the man in front of him. . His gentle fist was barely redirecting the attack of the Shinobi in front of him; he couldn't even bring his fingers together for a jutsu. There is no time for anything flashy.

Soon the man was against Kuroko; first, kicks and even Kunai slashes were swung at the Hyuga from time to time. 

'Sixteen trigrams, sixteen palms' The Hyuga quickly went into his pose.

'One plam '

'two-ugh', a kunai to the head, only for the Hyuga genius to dodge out of the way. frustation clearly etched on his face.

' You're not letting me complete my attack pattern, Kuroko thought.' 

'Since I am usually the faster Shinobi in the duel, the fight goes as predicted, but with this agility, how do I complete my attack??'

Another kick to the body, only for Kuroko to barely duck out of the way.

' Enough, I need to improvise; I have to adapt right now,'Kuroko shouted in his head.

With a determined thought in his brain, Kuroko distanced himself from the opposing Shinobi.

Gentle fist-clone taijutsu

Clones of his hand were made around his body.

4 arms

6 arms

The opponent didn't wait for Kuroko to complete his transformation. Rushing at the Hyuga, he did a flip on Kuroko's hand, landing behind the Hyuga while kicking him in the back.

Kuroko was launched forward, only to jump and roll to lessen the damage; however, the Shinobi was already onto him. 

'Yes, this is it', a smirk evident on Hyuga's face.

'Sixteen trigrams, sixteen palms '

'one palm'

Because of the opponent's speed, this formation was again broken. Kuroko had been truly countered, but had he?.

' again, sixteen trigrams, sixteen palms'

Kuroko quickly attacked the second tenketsu in the opponent's body. 

However, before he could touch the third, he was once again blocked. In his distraction, a cut had been scarred on his face, with blood oozing out of it. 

Kuroko, however, was far too focused to care about a measly cut—'again, the third tenketsu this time. '

Soon the battle continued, one of endurance and Kuroko's skill against the Chunin's speed. Slowly but steadily, all the tenketsu in Shinobi's body were getting blocked, his breath labored, and his speed far lessened.

Kuroko quickly broke formation again to take out his kunai and swipe at the tired Shinobi's ankle.

Slash

The shinobi jumped back, fear evident in his face. Just a few minutes ago, he was dominating the leaf brat, but the tides had changed before he could notice. 

His foot was bleeding; he could barely move it after all.

He had been countered.

With itachi

"Hah, you are quite the genius brat," the shinobi, in his labored breath, limped towards the fallen form of Itachi. The brat had clearly gone through chakra sickness. It happens a lot with new generations when they first go out on a mission. Use too much of your chakra, and the body will go into paralysis, or worse, coma.

"I saw your magnificant use of Genjutsu; it will be quite a pleasure to kill such a genius." The man was over Itachi, his kunai rushing towards the fallen Genin.

Ting ting 

The sound of the bell, which had been only feeble up until now, had become an ear-bursting scream.

"Aaaahhhh!" he screamed, his mind relaying the information that this was definitely a genjutsu.

However, before he could break it, the paralyzed Itachi swept a Kunai at the man's neck.

Blood gurgled out of Shinobi's body as he slowly lay on the ground, an unwilling look in the kiri ninja's face. 

However, before Itachi could mutter any words, he heard the scream of his friend. 

His head snapped back.

'Shizu'

The scene where Shizu had been battling was bathed in blood. The grass had turned red, and a kunai was inside Shizu's stomach. Itachi could see it. She was crawling backwards, and the opposing Shinobi was calmly walking towards her. The man, who could be said to be six feet tall, a chunin of perhaps 20 years of age, was smiling murderously towards the inuzuka.

Kuroko heard it too; the scream and the sight to his side had his veins bulge in his face.

' i will kill you, i will kill you' the thought kept ringing in his brain, Amaterasu boiled in his veins.

One second is how long it will take him to save Shizu and kill all the chunin here.

His muscles in his feet tensed as he lay ready to rush at his defeated teammate's side. However, he stopped because he saw something else, something shocking.

' No way, that can't be. He is 6'. Double-tomoe Sharingan was spinning in Itachi's eye, but that was not what shocked Kuroko.

' Chakra-Enhanced Strength' The moment the thought finished, Itachi was already onto the Shinobi, his fist entering the man's stomach. 

Time stopped for a second.

boom

Blood coated the grounds and Itachi and Shizu himself. The man had burst open. He had no time to reinforce his body with Chakra; he hadn't expected Itachi to be this quick and strong. 

I didn't waste time either; I quickly rushed at the genin. My Kunai swung at his neck, the man barely dodging.

' I don't have time for this bullshit'

My hand was already in the man's mouth. With blood-shot eyes, I pronounced my flames to devour the man from the inside.

' Amaterasu'
