Mariela's POV
"You look so beautiful, Ella, and I could tell you are the most stunning bride I have ever seen," Valerie exclaimed when she came and handed me my bouquet of white roses. Even if Archer told me about wearing a bridal gown and having a bouquet, I am still confused why he wanted me to undergo this way when we both know our wedding was nothing to him.
"Thank you, Val," I responded, trying to avoid her gaze because I didn't want my best friend to know I was having difficulty dealing with this kind of scheme I was facing.
"But mind you, you are also the saddest bride in the entire world, and why do you look like that on your wedding day, Ella? You are marrying the only man you love your entire life, but why does it look like you are attending a funeral?" She asked, and I couldn't even afford to smile as she stared at me.
