Picking up the Gun-Blade he had put at the side, Primis left the Forbidden Library with Emilia, Beatrice, Rem, and Subaru. Descending from the stairs, they met Ram who was cleaning a vase of flowers near the entrance. Hearing the sound of footsteps, she turned and looked at them in surprise.
Ram: Is something the matter?
Primis: Where is Roswaal?
Ram: Master Roswaal is currently away. He left before we went to the village. According to him, he will be back by midnight.
Subaru: Damn. What bad luck. If only he was here then----

Celebi nodded its head and approached Beatrice. Primis then turned his attention to Emilia and Rem.
Primis: We will leave in 5 minutes so grab the things you need since the fight is almost guaranteed. Once ready meet me at the gate.
Emilia and Rem nodded before rushing towards their own way. Next, Primis and Subaru also left the mansion and waited for them at the gate. There was an awkward silence between them. As Subaru was wondering whether he said something, Primis spoke.
Primis: No need to force yourself to talk. I don't mind waiting in silence for them.
Hearing this, Subaru gave a sigh of relief and nodded.

Five minutes later.
A wagon rushed out of the mansion and approached them near the gate. Rem was sitting in the driver's seat. She stopped in front of them and spoke.
Rem: Sister prepared this carriage for us. It will help us reach the village faster. Lady Emilia is already nice.
Primis: Good.
Subaru: Nice one!
They both entered the carriage and saw Emilia sitting inside.
Subaru: Yo! Emilia-tan.
Emilia: Mn. Let's go fast.
Before Primis could speak, his attention fell on the white cloak in Emilia's hand.
Primis: This robe?
Emilia: Oh, this is "Recognition Obstruction Robe". This robe allows its wearer to obstruct anyone from perceiving them unless the wearer allows it, or the person is strong enough to overcome its effects. This robe was given to me by Roswaal, to avoid any unwanted situations due to my race.

Replied Rem from the outside as the wagon rushed towards the village. Emilia kept on looking at Primis as if waiting for him to return the cloak, but he just put a blind eye to her gaze and kept on looking outside. Realizing that Primis had no intention of speaking, Emilia opened her mouth.
Emilia: Rigla.
Primis: What is it?
Emilia: My cloak?
Primis: No cloak. You are not going to wear it ever again.
Hearing this, panic appeared on Emilia face.
Emilia: B-But I need i-it.
Primis: You don't.
Turning his gaze at Emilia, Primis spoke.
Primis: If you don't even have the confidence to show yourself in front of the people, how are you going to fight for the throne of this Kingdom.
Emilia eyes widened before she lowered her head. She also knew that. But facing the people who looked at her with contempt due to her appearance was still difficult for her. Looking at her current state, Primis didn't offer any comfort words. Though Subaru can't ignore it. He tried to comfort her.
Subaru: It's okay, Emilia-tan. I have full confidence that you will win the throne. So, Cheer up.
Too bad for Subaru since Emilia ignored him completely. Subaru's words meant nothing to Emilia. Because unlike the plot, Emilia also remembered everything that happened in previous loops. While Primis was fighting Roswaal and Ram, Beatrice and Emilia were also looking for him. As a result, they also came to know that because of Subaru's action, it not only led to Rem's death but also Ram and Roswaal death by Primis hand since he killed them in order to protect Subaru from them.
Now, their relation was as weak as a thread. In Emilia eyes, Subaru was almost a stranger.

Rem: Sir Rigla, looks like something happened.
After saying this, Rem stopped the carriage. Primis, Emilia, and Subaru came out and saw almost all the villagers outside of their houses and were looking around in panic.
Subaru: Just what happened here?
Rem: It looks like they were searching for something.
Primis: Yeah.
Walking forward, Primis decided to talk to them. But then he stopped as he felt a tug on his jacket. Looking back, he saw Emilia was holding the edge of his jacket with a nervous expression. Witnessing this, he couldn't help but sigh.
Primis: Only this time.
Emilia: Mn.
Emilia nodded meekly as Primis approached the villagers. Moving closer they saw many villagers were kneeling on the ground and hugging what appeared to be the corpses of their family members.
Subaru: H-How could this b-be? Who d-did this?
Rem: Look at the wounds, idiot Subaru. Such huge claws and bites marks can only belong to the Demon Beasts.
Subaru: That's true.
Primis: Subaru, who is the village chief among them?
Subaru: Village Chief? Oh, there she is.
Saying this Subaru ran towards a purple haired older woman. Primis and others followed behind.
Subaru: Grandma Milde.
The village chief Milde Arlam looked at Subaru with deep sadness in her eyes.
Milde: Oh. Subaru-boy, you are also here.
Subaru: Yes. I never thought something like this would happen after my departure.
Milde: *sigh* It's truly sad.
Primis: So, you are the village chief.
Milde turned her gaze towards the owner the voice and became a bit surprised witnessing Primis' handsomeness. Though she returned to herself in the next second since as said before in this there were many handsome and beautiful people.
Milde: Who are you, young man?
Primis: I am Rigla. I am Subaru's friend who is also living in Roswaal's Mansion.
Milde: I see. It's nice to meet you. I would have invited you for a dinner or something but because of the current condition of our village----
Primis: Don't mind. I wanted to ask who did this but seeing the claws and bite marks on those bodies and around the village, it's not hard to guess that Demon Beasts are responsible for this.
Milde: *sigh* You are right. A few dozen Demon Beasts attacked our village. They went inside each house and took their children. Anyone who tried to stop them were killed by them.
Primis: I see.
Primis then gazed at all the villagers who had started crying because of the lose of their family members and because of their kidnapped children. Witnessing this even Emilia, Rem, and Subaru became sad. They started to think of way to reassure them but then...…
Primis: Quiet.

Subaru: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Milde: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All Villagers: !!!!!!!!!!
Primis said a single word in his normal tone. But not only did everyone in the village hear this but they all also felt a chill down their spine. Everyone turned their attention towards Primis. By now, Primis demeanor had completely changed. Everyone can feel an authority in his voice. That was the demeanor of a Ruler.
Primis: I am sorry for your losses. However, if you want me to bring back the children who are still alive and not devoured by the Demon Beasts, I want all your cooperation.
No one spoke for some time before Milde opened her mouth.
Milde: Please tell us what we can do, Your Majesty.
As if it worked as a chain effect, others also started to speak.
Village 1: Yes, please tell us what to do, Your Majesty.

Primis: First, pick up whatever you can use to fight. Be it a kitchen knife, chair, or anything you think you can use as a weapon. Don't worry, I am not telling you to go after the Demon Beasts because it would be suicidal to fight them in a forest. You can use those things for self defense when the Demon Beasts attack again.

All the villagers nodded.
Primis: Subaru.
Subaru: Y-Yes!
Subaru straightened his back when his name was called.
Primis: I want you to stay here and help the villagers. Even though your physical strength is that of normal human, your 'advance' knowledge from your hometown will be able to save many lives here.
Subaru: I-I understand, Y-Your Majesty.
Primis: Good. One more thing, come here.

Said Primis while patting Subaru's shoulder. Snapping out of his thoughts, Subaru spoke with great confidence.
Subaru: I will!!
Primis: Good. Now, Milde.
Milde: Yes, Your Majesty.
Primis: In which direction did the Demon Beasts go?
Milde: The south of forbidden forest.
Primis: I see. Emilia. Rem. Let's go.
Emilia & Rem: Yes!!
Then all three entered the forest and disappeared.
