Quickly after blocking the stab, Setsuna used the second physical sword in his hand to make another attack which chopped off the two hands of the Union Flag unit.

Patrick quickly moved to make some distance as he knew that it was already over for him.

He only needs to make sure of his survival now.

In the hangar.

"Systems all clear...."

"Graham? How's that kid, Patrick, now?" Reynald asked while doing a double check on the system UI of the Union Flag unit 02 that he is planning to use.

"Sir, it's bad, he has no chance to retaliate now.

Especially since the enemy has some kind of energy shield.

All of his weapons are unavailable or destroyed.

He could only dodge now, not even defend." Graham said with a grim tone in his voice.

"Alright. I'm going now then.

Have the staff record everything." Reynald said as a determined look came into his eyes.

"Yes, Captain!" Graham accepted the order affirmatively.

"Reynald Amereci, Union Flag unit 02, taking off!" Reynald said loudly in the coms connected to the airbase command as a part of the protocol.

His Union Flag quickly blasted off the hangar, out of the opened gateway, at its maximum initial speed before accelerating at its maximum acceleration while going up.

It is still in its fighter plane mode as it soared through the sky.

Rey quickly reached the maximum speed of the Union Flags flight capability and made a circle around the demonstration area to make a quick assessment of the situation on the ground.

He saw that Patrick is in a critical situation and is about to be chopped into two so he made a quick decision to just dive in.

And that's what he did!

Using all the force he accumulated while diving in, he made an accurate attack to disrupt the fatal blow of the Exia Gundam to Patrick's Union Flag.

But Setsuna had already got an alert warning when Rey had just shot out from the hangar.

He had been monitoring Rey from the time he appeared.

Because, based on the plan that was told to him, the second mobile suit enemy will be very much stronger than the first.

It's not about the machine itself as they would be the same.

It's about the pilot!

It is said that the pilot of this second machine might have the same capability or just a little bit below their piloting instructor, Marianne.

It created a small blast of air and it is almost like he crashed into the ground, but he made use of the strong suspension of his machine and all of its boosters at the end to break off of most the force that came with its main body and put everything into the sword.

Although this kind of offsetting operation reduced the strength of this attack, it is still fine as attacking Setsuna is not his main goal.

Reynald's plan of disengaging Setsuna against Patrick forcefully is successful as Setsuna backed down and made some distance instead of continuing the final blow.

In truth, Reynald had many goals when he did this attack.

But one of the main goals is to check if this much force of the attack is strong enough to penetrate the so-called energy shield.

Just the fact that Setsuna had avoided him is enough to make him assume that the earlier force might be something that the shield can't withstand.

'But, I still need to do it, to prove it!' Reynald thought as he smiled from feeling the challenge, this makes him remind of the times when he kept challenging the strong when he was at the piloting school.

He met that guy many times on the battlefield before.

His exclusive machine had been almost wrecked quite a few times before.

Now, he heard some time ago that, that guy had become a fugitive of Britannia.

He wanted to invite that guy to join him in America, they did meet each other and he did invite the guy, who is now wearing a mask all the time, but that guy rejected.

That guy is as stubborn as he is, he is also a firm believer in the elitist society that Britannia had made, the only thing he did not like is the concept of nobility.

At first, he only dislike it because of what happened to his family, but as time goes on, the more things he saw happen, he started hating it.

'That guy might be smarter than me, but he is also only like me, only knowing how to use force to solve big things.
