Chapter 61

As General Kenobi's shuttle landed in front of the Palace he could sense the presence of another ship but when he looked out the window he didn't see anything.

He didn't think about it too much since he couldn't see it and he felt no danger from it.

As the shuttle touched down General Kenobi along with a group of Republic troopers had exited the shuttle and were met with the Royal Guards.

"General Kenobi the Queen is expecting you, she awaits you inside of the Throne room" Said one of the Naboo Royal Guards.

Kenobi walked passed the guards and into the Palace. Once inside he was escorted to the Throne room where the queen was waiting for him.

Once inside he bowed before the Queen to show his respect "Greetings Queen Amidala I am General Kenobi of Jedi Order sent here to assist Naboo with the unlawful occupation by the Trade Federation" Said General Kenobi

"Yes I appreciate your help in destroying their control ship so that we can secure the city" Said Queen Amidala.

"I'm glad that the Naboo Royal Guards were able to defend Majesty under the overwhelming pressure of the Trade Federation droids" Said Kenobi as he was talking to Captain Panaka

"It was no easy task General but as the Naboo Royal Guards it was our job to defend her Majesty with our lives if necessary" Said Captain Panaka.

"Now then General Kenobi can you tell me why a Jedi is a General in the Republic army, because last I heard the Jedi refused to take up leadership positions in the Republic Army because they wanted to keep the Peace and joining the Republic Army would counter act that" Asked Queen Amidala.

"Well your majesty recently we have come across some information regarding Emperor Palpatine and the Inquisitors that he are training in the ways of the Dark side of the Force. This has pushed the Jedi High council to re think about the Jedi Leadership positions and as such now the Jedi are part of the Republic Army as Leader's, Diplomats, and negotiators" Explained General Kenobi

"The rise of the Dark side will only bring chaos to the Galaxy which is why we are forced to take action to prevent that from happening the best way that we can" 

"I see, well im glad that the Republic isn't so Corrupt that they can't even send help to my people" Said Queen Amidala as she was well aware of the corruption of the Republic Senate.

"Yes, the New Chancellor has been trying to get rid of the Corrupt Senators but most of them are powerful individuals with enough power to remove him from office if he try's anything against him. But they are also aware that this would cause a Civil war which is not something that they want" Said General Kenobi

"The Jedi have started to work closely with the Chancellor to start stabilizing the Republic and to counter act the Galactic Empire's Influence" 

"I see" Said Queen Amidala "Is their anything else you need General Kenobi" 

"No your majesty but the fleet will remain here for the time being to safe guard the planet so that the Trade Federation won't invade again, as such I would like to ask permission to set up a Republic Garrison on the planet" Asked General Kenobi

"Yes that is fine so long as the garrison doesn't cause trouble to my people then that is alright with me" Said Queen Padme

"Then if you would excuse me Your Majesty I will leave now" Said General Kenobi as he bowed and left the Throne room.

Once he was gone Captain Panaka asked the Queen a question that was on his mind since General Kenobi walked in "Your Majesty why didn't you tell him about that strange team of armored men that cam to help us"

"Because they helped us and wasn't with the Trade Federation, and they probably don't want the Republic to be informed about who they are since it would cause too much trouble for them" Said Queen Amidala.

Captain Panaka didn't inquire further and just left it at that.

Elsewhere in the Galaxy the Trade Federation had just issued a declaration, declaring the formation of the Confederacy of Independent Systems along with a few other Megacorporation's.

The Formation of the Confederacy of Independent Systems marked the start of what most would call a Civil war inside of the Republic.

The Senators of the Republic had began to reprimand the Chancellor for his actions which have caused the Republic to be split into a Civil War.

Some had even called for his resignation to put somebody else as the Chancellor but their efforts were met in vain as the People of the Republic stood behind the Chancellor.

So for now the Chancellor was untouchable and the civil war would continue.

News of the civil war had quickly spread throughout the Galaxy and many pirates and other criminal gangs had moved to capitalize on this opportunity.

The Galactic Empire had moved a fleet near their Border to get ready to implement the Emperor's Plan.

Emperor Palpatine would start offering Planet's protection under the Empire so that he can slowly conquer the Republic while they are at war.

But in truth he would just be conquering these planet's and not giving them any choice in what will happen once they are under the Empire's Protection.

The Galactic Empire ruled through fear and authority making it a highly militarized force in the Galaxy. And since they didn't implement laws to restrict themselves they possessed weapons that are much stronger than the Republic and more deadlier.

For now Alexander would just watch the conflict unfold for now until he either wanted to get involved or he needed to get involved.
