Chapter 49

The man wearing the white uniform watched Sofia with a concerned look. He knew that Sofia must have been very scared.

"Sir!" Sofia whispered with her lips quivering.

"Yes ma'am!" said the security guard.

"Thank you Father for helping me!" Sofia said staring intently at the face of the man in the white uniform. "Please, father, don't leave me before my husband comes," Sofia begged, dropping a dazed look at the apartment security guard who had helped her.

"Yes madam! Madam take it easy. I hope nothing bad happens to your daughter."

Sofia nodded gently like she was holding back tears. His hands brushed his face for a moment. Feeling really messed up.

The light above the NICU door had gone out. Indicates if the action in the room has been completed. Sofia rushed to face the doctor who had just come out of the NICU room.

"Doc, how about my daughter, Doc?" Sofia snarled at the man who appeared from behind the open door of the room.
