Ch 66 – A New Fun Adventure

As the girl entered the cave, she walked for a few minutes with a bored face while yawning along the way.

"Ugh, I thought there would be something special here," said the red-haired girl as she walked and walked until she noticed the air getting colder while the walls started to get spots of crystal-like ice, and this type of ice is something she is very familiar with.

"Gasp!" muttered the girl as she exploded into a very fast sprint that is near impossible for the peak of humanity to keep up with and rush along the long-winded cave.

As she run faster and faster, her suspicions were proven true as she reached the wide-open ice lair of an Ice Dragon and saw that no dragon was inside except for one little thing lying on the floor still covered in some blood.

"H- he slew an Ice Dragon all by himself!?" said the girl in shock as she quickly looked around the room and saw the melted ice and shattered pillars of ice and saw no corpse of a dragon in sight.

"Only an S rank could defeat a dragon and it seems like he defeated it with ease? H- how?" said the girl as she crouched down near the jaw on the ground and saw how it was charred black and could still feel the residual mana left behind.

"Fire? A magic tool? Or a mage? But he seems to be a swordsman?" said the girl in confusion as she looked around the puddles of water around the lair.

"… I need to show this to the others," said the girl as she muttered a certain word and with that, light started to gather in front of her to form a screen of light.

And through that screen of light, a certain black-haired person appeared who looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Someone hunted an Ice Dragon all alone," the girl said while turning the screen of light towards the jaw on the ground leaving the man with shocked eyes.

"Wait there," said the man as she nodded and dispelled the screen of light and explored around the lair.

While I was walking in the air by using some wind magic, I looked down on the wide-open field with monsters and animals roaming about and wondered how monsters evolved to be this way? Like is it because of magic? Maybe.

As I walked through the air and saw the Royal Capital already appearing in the distance, I remembered how wide this world is and can't wait to go to other places when I amass enough wealth from being an adventurer and change into a random class like a farmer.

Hmm, I wonder what continent I would go next to? This world has 5 continents that are North, West, South, and finally, Central where I am currently in with one single empire that governs all the kingdoms around the continent, and the Royal Capital is in the dead center of the Central Continent so I could say I am in the center of the world.

The reincarnates also got summoned inside the Royal Palace in the center of the Royal Capital so it kinda has a pattern, hmm, I wonder if I should rank up to S already?

Eh, I'll probably stay as an A rank, it's strong enough that no one would really offend me and I could gain tons of benefits.

While I was walking through the air, I felt the distinct movement of space and knew that somebody created a wormhole or portal inside the capital but I ignored it, it's probably somebody who gained space magic, or maybe it's Louis? Doesn't he have the gate spell from the news?

As I landed on the ground in front of the gates, the guards guarding the gate parted way for me and I nodded at them in response.

After entering the Royal Capital, my body slowly disappeared from view and I went towards my house while still being invisible and went to change some clothes to the casual one I wear with this persona of mine while storing my equipment inside my storage space.

"Yawn, I wonder if I should eat at the restaurant of that reincarnate girl? From what I saw, their food has magical effects and you could even buy some very expensive food to make yourself permanently stronger? Wait… what if I get mind-controlled? Aren't the reincarnates evil? Didn't they burn the cucked boy's village" I muttered and wondered what Lute is currently doing right now, almost a week has already passed since they killed Louis and he hasn't appeared to the public since then, so they must be thinking that Louis is still dead right now.

With a yawn, I just decided to take a nap, and with that, I plop down on my bed, and just like that, a day has passed by.

The next morning, I woke up with a yawn and felt refreshed from that deep long sleep of mine and almost broke my bed when I put my hand on the edge for support due to the increase in power I gained from hunting that Ice Dragon down along with my new bloodline.

As I let a breath out of my mouth, the air that my breath pass through condense and became cold and chuckled at how broken having this new bloodline is.

"Roar," I said as scales appeared all around my body and felt my strength increasing to a great degree and wondered how strong the Guild Master is right now, but I remembered I could probably curb stomp him right now from my enchantments and sighed at the irony.

"Welp, a new day means a new adventure," I said while I stood up and put on my equipment and mask and got out of my house and went towards the Adventurer's Guild near my house.

As the other adventurers inside there greeted me with respect because I am now a little bit famous inside our own little group, I looked at the quest board to find some interesting quests to take.

But as I was looking at the quest board, I found nothing interesting and sighed at how boring the quests are, hunt this thing, gather this thing, why can't there be a dragon hunt quest?

While I got out of the guild with a sigh, I wondered where Lute currently is right now? Probably training with the witch to hunt the other reincarnates, well not if I hunt them first… or maybe I'll be neutral until they attack me first.

As I walked out of the royal capital without taking any quest, I just looked at the map to look at the interesting landmarks I could explore.

Hmm, there is a volcano, a dense forest, a desert filled with gigantic worms, what do I explore?

Maybe the volcano? There must be a dragon inside a volcano, they go hand in hand together!

But which volcano should I go to?

There's the one up north, west, south, and east, there's so much to pick from, maybe I could rely on my luck to choose one for me? Maybe it can choose one that has a dragon inside it and slay it or perhaps… tame it?

"Hmm?" I muttered as I saw a carriage rushing towards the Royal Capital and activated my magic to hear what the person inside is talking about.

"Oh, please help us, God, how did a Lich appear out of nowhere near the kingdom!?" said a trembling voice and I instantly knew that a fun little quest has appeared.

A Lich!

An S rank monster who could content with the greatest of adventurers with their horde of undead!

As excitement course through my body, I hurriedly followed the carriage inside the Capital and saw that it stop in front of the Adventurer's Guild.

"Help help! Our kingdom is being overrun by a horde of undead! A Lich has appeared! Are there any brave adventurers willing to help defeat this vile monster!" said a man wearing some fancy clothes while sweat poured from his forehead.

"H- how much would you pay us!" shouted a voice from the crowd that formed around the carriage.

"5- 5 gold each!" shouted the man.

"What!? 5 gold for our life!? Count me out" said the voice as the crowd agreed with the voice.

"W- wait! If you can hunt the Lich, you will gain 1000 gold!" shouted the man as everyone stopped in their tracks.

"A- and with each undead you kill, we will give you 10 silver!" shouted the man as everyone quickly changed their decisions and lined up to join the man.

"Where is the kingdom located?" I asked while I went to stand beside the carriage so the man can hear me.

"It's located west a few tens of kilometers away," said the voice while thanking the people who joined him.

I nodded and without a second thought, I headed out of the Capital with a glint in my eyes as a new adventure awaits me in the Kingdom invaded by a Lich.
