Sayu's Mission

{AN: Sorry for not writing these days, but I felt like shit, throwing up over 2 days, taking any desire to write.

Here's the new chapter, 3000 words so quite long to celebrate.

PD: I like Sayu's character, but I didn't really think anything to do to her after this. If you have some good ideas please comment it.}

"First of all, I need to know about the servants." Allen stated "I doubt you have some that you know would stab in your back, but tell me who might be trustworthy and with whom you will trust your life."

"I'll prepare the list" Ayato said and quickly started writing over a paper before giving it to Allen.

"I see" Reading over the papers there were 3 untrustworthy that were familiar or at least had ties with clan that had clear bad intentions, one of them being a second cousin of the Mia Clan's head.

It might be better to not have these people around, but for obligations it was custom for the Kamisato Clan to have people of other prestigious clans of the Yashiro Commission.

Of trustworthy, there were about 6 that had worked all their life in the State, even their familes serving them for generations.

Finally, there was only one that Ayato would trust in his life that being Thoma.

Allen made a thoughtful posture as he analyzed the list. They had very few people, so knowing who were allies and enemies was vital at a moment like this. One wrong decision could destroy a plan,

'I only have this list plus the people that I trust, all of them in this room. It's very little but...' "I can work with this."

"Sayu, please come out"

Just as Allen called out, from the ceiling, the little ninja appeared, landing next to him.

"The Shuumatsuban?" Ayato could recognize Sayu's manners.

"The Shuumatsuban won't help us for the time being. You'll need to work about it in the future, making it your on force" Allen suggested "But, Sayu is Ayaka's and my friend, you can trust her with your life and she would help her."

"But! She is a child!"

"Don't let be fooled by her image. She is very talented. In a few years, she would without doubt become the best shadow spy of the Shuumatsuban. Also, her age is a little older than she seems, please don't call her a child."

Allen turned over Sayu "Sayu, could you investigate the Hiiragi Clan? Especially over their relationship with the Mia Clan."

"Leave it to me!" Sayu puffed her chest proudly.

"Don't force yourself too much, at the minimum hint of being possibly discovered, run away. Your safety is the most important, no matter the information." Allen warned Sayu.

"Hum!" Sayu nodded and quickly left through the windows.

'Sayu seems like a 7 years old girl, so the probability of being captured and suspected as a spy is low, most probably being able to escape passing as a lost child as long as she doesn't push them enough.'

"Why investigate the Hiiragi Clan?" Ayato asked confused "They are the head of the Kanjou Commission. They are forbidden to directly act over the Yashiro Commission and they never had any past relation with the Mia Clan."

"The directly part is the one you need to be wary about" Allen warned "The Mia Clan wasn't such a powerful force, only in the last years, their strength had started rising at an incredible speed. How could you explain it?"

"They had expanded politically and made some arranged marriages" Ayato answered.

"True, but why did they do it before? Because they lacked the opportunity and curiosity of the other clans. Meaning that they had gained something." Allen explained "And what can cause such a sudden gain? Money."

"So your speculation is only based on the Hiiragi Clan being the richest of Inazuma?" Ayato glared at Allen.

"That's a reason" Allen nodded "But the main reason was for the funeral. I'm quite familiar with merchants, with quite the good ones, and the Hiiragi's head is undoubtedly one. The look in his eyes while looked over the state and as he looked over you wasn't a calculative one, planning what to win for your misfortune. It was of a merchant that already had made his inversion and is waiting, looking forward to sure gains that he would gain from it."

'Yes, it was like Aleksei's eyes went he had won and looked at his near bounty.'

"If I were in their case that what I would do, sponsor a lower family that you could easily control while taken the shadows, making them increase their power when in truth is all yours and finally taking advantage of the Kamisato's weakening, make them the next head of the Yashiro Commission, obtaining the control of two Commissions, making them the most powerful clan of Inazuma without a doubt."

'I'm not sure about Asahi's and Kayo's causes of death, but I wouldn't surprise that it was also part of their plan, making the Hiiragis the culprits. Boosting the Mia Clan while lowering the Kamisato' Allen looked at Ayato and Ayaka's unsure 'But for now, it would better to not tell them. We need to be cool-headed now and it's not like I have any proof.'

"If that's true, we really have a problem" Ayato said thoughtfully thinking about the aftermath.

"Yes, there's no worst outcome in a war that a new foe appearing, completely destroying your plans" Allen explained "That why I want to be sure of it. If we want to win this 'chess' game, we'll need to at least know how the chessboard is."

"As it is said if you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles" Allen told remembering the famous said of the Art of War.

"But what if the enemy is far stronger than you and it's impossible to win?" Ayaka asked a little scared about the conversation.

"Why would you fight such a battle?" Allen answered "If you can't win anything from it, avoid it. You can calm down, Ayaka. We won't fight a lost battle."

"For now, thanks to Tomoki's strength, we won't be directly attacked, so we have some time before their possible move." Allen explained "If they are alone, we can try a little attack to lower their strength or some move against their wealth, but if they are backed by the Hiiragis, we will need to reframe the plan. That's why we need the information."

At Ritou, hid on top of a tree, Sayu stood while drawing on a paper. The drawing was a sketch impossible to read and make some sense if looked by anyone with Sayu as the exemption. She could clearly read it and it was a representation of the Hiiragi Manor. Not only about the structure, but also about the guards' movements and turns.

Sayu had passed the last days investigating the Hiiragi's, the ins and outs plus the preparation of the groundwork for an internal investigation.

As could be expected for a great family, their security was high, making it incredible difficult to enter unseen and more to stay enough time to investigate. That's why Sayu needed to know how they worked to find the possible openings in their security.

In these days, Sayu showed her immense progress in the Yoohoo Art and unlike her usual use to slack off, she showed how great was to hide under the enemies' forces, camouflaging and hiding away.

Unknown to Sayu, there were some guards that truly found her, but let her go thinking that it was a little girl playing with a Tanuki costume and doll, not wanting to stop her playing.

If Sayu had known, she would have been incredibly annoyed and angry. If it wasn't an important mission, she would even have shouted at them saying that she is not Tanuki.

"I'm ready!" Sayu jumped out of the tree and went towards the Hiiragi Manor, hiding between shadows and taking the best path, climbing walls, going through windows... perfectly avoiding the patrols, their movements in her grasp.

Finally, Sayu reached Shinsuke's office just at the minuscule time that he left for his usual walk around the garden and before the guards take their post, wasting their time bowing towards him. It was only a gap of 2 seconds, but Sayu was able to take it, entering the room.

'I have 10 minutes' Sayu started quickly investigating the office while cleaning her movements, making it seem that nobody had been there. As Allen had told her, the information is far more important if the enemies don't know that you have them.

'Only 2 minutes' Sayu was unable to find anything related with the Mia or Kamisato, only numerical documents that she really couldn't understand.

Sayu was about to prepare her departure when she saw something from the corner of her eyes. Just under the table, a little irregularity could be found on the floor. Taking out the carpet, Sayu was able to find a locked compartment.

Sayu quickly took out a picklock and started forcing it to open at her fastest speed, knowing that she hadn't much time.

In the end, the instant to escape was the same as to enter. Taking advantage of when Shinsuke entered the room to make her escape. If she took longer, that window would close and she would be found.

*Clak* The compartment was finally opened.

'5 seconds. I don't have time!' Sayu stood at a crossroads. Trying to find the thing inside and take it, risking being discovered, or cleaning her actions and escape.

'Don't force yourself too much, at the minimum hint of being possibly discovered, run away. Your safety is the most important, no matter the information.' Allen's words crossed Sayu's mind, but also their time playing together with Ayaka, the time with her only two friends.

'For Ayaka!' Sayu quickly made the decision, opening the compartment, finding some letters in it, quickly taking them and hiding in her clothes. There wasn't time to check if it was related to the Kamisato, but it was clear that it was important and needed to hide, so it was mostly useful.

"Cr!" Just as Sayu was about to prepare to escape, the door of the office opened, Shinsuke's gaze falling over Sayu, glaring the girl taking out the letters.

"INTRUDER!" Shinsuke didn't doubt for a second at the sight of the little girl, directly marking her as an objective "GUARDS!"

'Shit! There were 2 seconds left!' Sayu cursed in her mind, but nevertheless, she had been discovered.

As the guards' steps approached, Sayu run over to the window, jumping through it.

Just as she jumped from the first floor, she was about to land over a guard. Sayu already knew of the guard stayed here under the office, this one being the reason to not infiltrate through it, but now that she had been discovered, it didn't matter. One guard was far better than the great numbers behind her.

"STOP!" The guard tried to persuade Sayu as he tried to catch Sayu. If it was a normal intrude, he would have directly attacked with his spear, but seeing the little girl, he didn't dare to thrust her, deciding to catch her in his arms.

"Yoohoo Art: Clone!" *PUF* white smoke surged from Sayu.

The guard ignored the smoke and caught the falling person, but instead of a human feeling, he felt an elastic and round feeling, quickly realizing that the thing in his arms wasn't a little girl but a Mujina's doll.

*Boing!* Sayu followed the doll, landing over it and jumping, rebounding in it, and surpassing the shocked guard.

"STOP!"

'I'll need to hurry!' Sayu started to run, but quickly found herself being caught, the limitations of her small build being evident, making it impossible to overrun her pursuers.

'I'll need to create a diversion' Sayu approached some brushes and trees at the garden and took out a smoke ball, but just as she was about to throw it up and change direction to distract the guard, she stopped still.

Around Sayu, more than 10 guards surrounded her.

'Shit, I failed. I can't escape!' Sayu thought scared seeing herself completely surrounded.

'Your tricks are quite handy, but they are very limited in outdoors. If there were more than one pursuer or they are quite capable, they became useless.' Sayu could remember Allen's words that reminded her of training and improving her adaptability.

'Even if there was more people, I should have tried to escape indoor where my Yoohoo Art is better. I could have tried to lose them indoors, even staying in a hidden corner for somedays while creating a trail to the outside.' Sayu regretted.

"Stop any resistance, little girl!" The one who seemed the leader shouted "For whom are you working for!?"

'I should have followed Allen's words, why I didn't?' Tears started falling Sayu's eyes as she started trembling in fright at the situation.

"TALK!" The leader ordered as another guard approached Sayu.

'I don't want to be captured. I want to escape!' Sayu's eyes trembled as the hand of the guard approached her to catch her 'I want to return, play and slack off with Ayaka and Allen!'

"I have you!" The guard smiled as he caught up Sayu's arm, but his eyes went wide as he realized that he was unable to lift the little girl's body, instead it was his body the one floating some inches!

"You DON'T!" Floating around Sayu, a green gemstone appeared that was clear for everyone, an Anemo Vision!

The Vision shined brightly as green wind formed around Sayu, covering the guard touching her, and lowering his weight.

"Ya!" Sayu swung her arm, forcing the guard to release her arm and shooting him away, crashing to the ground with a pained look.

"Lift your weapons!" The leader quickly ordered. In front of them, there was no longer a helpless little girl, it was a Vision bearer and he was well aware of how dangerous could they be, they need to prepare for a battle.

Sayu clenched tightly the floating Vision and approached a nearly little tree.

"Ya!" Focusing on the Vision, Sayu created a strong wind that surrounded the tree, making it possible for Sayu to pluck it from the ground and lifting to prepare to throw it.

"Be aware, prepare to defend!" The leader commanded, all the guards preparing their weapons to defend.

The guards' eyes didn't leave the little girl 'It didn't matter if she obtained a Vision, just as she throw the tree at one of us, the other will charge against her. She might be able to take someone out, but she would be unable to fight against 10 of us. Also if she tries to fight using the tree, she would be left opened, we will close up the formation, stopping her.'

It didn't matter the little girl's move, the leader had her under his control.

"YA!" Sayu lifted high the tree and.... *BANG!* *PAF!* She slammed it into the ground, just at the same time, she threw the remaining smoke ball, creating a smokescreen.

"What?! " The leader was completely shocked, not really expecting such an outcome "Stay Alert!" He commanded preparing for a possible sneaking attack.

"Fuuin Dash!" Sayu curled her body and invoked wind around her, creating a Windwheel. Using the Windwheel, she surged from the white smoke, but against the leader's prediction, she didn't attack anyone. Instead, she focused on escaping, cutting through the encirclement at great speed.

"W-wha?! Stop her! Chase her!" The leader quickly commanded, shocked at the little girl's actions. However, the guards were unable to follow her, Sayu being too quick for them.

'She had tricked us into believing that she would fight, threatening us and forcing us to defend while in truth it was only a diversion for her escape. How can such a little girl think like that what a monster.'

'For a trick to be the most effective, it must be hidden. Make people focus on one thing while you prepare the actual trick, hiding it from their eyes' Sayu smiled 'I followed your advice, Allen!'

"FUCK!" the leader threw his weapon on the floor.

At the Kamisato State, Allen looked over the window and saw a green windwhirl approaching them at great speed.

'An attack?' Allen jumped through the window to the garden, taking his sword as he prepared to clash with the unknown and possible dangerous phenomenon.

However, just as the windwhirl was about to reach him, this one dissolved and Sayu appeared from it, somersaulting and landing on the ground.

"A-all is spinning!" Sayu's body was trembling, her steps were hesitant, seeing to fall at any time just as her eyes were swirling, the world around Sayu still revolting for her.

"I have you!" Allen took Sayu in his arms, stopping the wriggle.

"A-allen, is that you?" Sayu said confused "It's all spinning!"

"Calm down. Rest" Allen said as he rubbed her head trying to make her feel better.

*Buarggg!* Sayu vomited on Allen's clothes. It really had took too much of her. Rolling around for more than an hour when she was unfamiliar, it has been the worst, tiring her physically and mentally, plus the exhaustion of using her Vision for the first time. It was a complete wonder how she had been able to reach the Kamisato State.

"I've got it!" Feeling a little better after throwing up, Sayu smiled as she took the hidden little from her costume. Allen taking it.

"Good job. But next time don't force so much" Allen said patting Sayu's head, completely disregarding the vomit over him in favor of the little girl.

"Yes" Sayu said weakly as her eyes close and her body relaxed.

"Sayu!" From the Kamisato State, Ayaka run over with a worried look seeing Sayu's condition "Is she fine?!"

"Yes" Allen said calmly.

*ZZZZZZZZZZZZ!* loud snoring surged from Sayu, causing Ayaka's eyes to went wide.

"She's only sleeping" Allen hummed.

"This Sayu!" Ayaka puffed her checks, but quickly put a bright smile.

Allen let her rest on the soft grass and turned his gaze towards the delivered letters, his eyes going wide before glaring at it.

Then, Allen turned to the sleeping Sayu with soft eyes "Good job, Sayu."
