Liar

Tok! Tok!

"Excuse me!"

Tok! Tok!

"Yes, just a minute!" Sea immediately opened the door of her house.

Celek!

"Good night with, Miss Sea?" asked a man in police uniform. There were two of them, Sea was still watching them warily.

"I am indeed Sea, can I help you?" asked Sea.

"May we come in and speak to you, Miss?" one of the men asked.

Sea also nodded her head, although her expression looked doubtful.

"Yea, please sir,"

Then two men entered Sea's house.

They sit down and began to interrogate Sea.

"Um, Miss Sea, we came here to investigate the disappearance of a girl named Livy Jones, and a man named Archer," explained one of the men.

"Ouch, but what does that have to do with me?" asked the Sea.

Another man also immediately spoke up.

"That's it, Miss. According to someone who reported to us, she saw those two the last time they were with you," he explained.

'Oh shit! Who reported me? what, Alice?'

"Miss, can you explain the chronology of what happened?"

"Ah..." Sea immediately put on a fake smile, "of course sir," replied Sea, she was acting normal.

"Okay, please tell me, Miss. We will record it,"

Sea was silent for a moment, making up stories so the two men wouldn't suspect her.

"Before Livy was reported missing, I've met her, sir, I even fed her, and I also had time to treat her wounds, but ..." Sea was starting to look restless.

"But what, Miss? Can you continue?"

"Ah, of course, sir! But after I treated the wound, she just left, I don't know anymore," explained Sea.

"But, according to Livy's mother, when she left the house, Livy, she wasn't hurt, do you know who hurt her, Livy?"

"Ah, I don't know, sir! I only helped her, not the culprit," replied Sea.

The man looked at each other with his co-workers, because there was something strange about Sea's words.

And they again asked Sea the question.

"Then how about it, Archer? You met him too, right?"

"Yes!" replied the sea firmly.

"Can you tell us?"

"Of course, I'll tell you, so that afternoon Archer came over, left a cake for, Alice," Sea explained.

"Then what about the letter in Mr. Archer's pocket, did you write it?"

Hearing that question, made Sea feel annoyed. But she had to endure it because if she was red they would be even more suspicious.

"Why, you ask that? Are you accusing me?" Sea quipped with a smile.

"Ah, that's not it Miss, we just want to make sure, because according to his partner, before disappearing, Archer had read a letter from someone claiming to be Alice, and after that, he disappeared until now," explained the second man.

"Ah, I don't know about that, sir, I don't feel writing a letter to him, what's the point of doing that?" Sea put on an innocent face as if he didn't know anything.

The police were still asking Sea questions, but suddenly the faint sound of someone calling for help.

"Help me!" shouted Archer from the basement, his voice reaching the living room. It's just not very clear.

"Hey, did you hear someone screaming?" one of the men asked his co-worker.

"Yes, I heard it but it wasn't clear, and it sounded like someone calling for help."

"Possible...."

The two men began to suspect that the man was Archer.

"Miss, are you hiding someone in this house?"

Sea immediately denied it.

"Of course not, sir! Why would I hide people?" said the Sea.

"But, that voice is like someone hidden somewhere?"

"Sir! I live alone in this house, and I'm not hiding anyone either."

Sea continued to deny it, but the police officers didn't believe it.

One of them walked closer towards the Sea.

"Tell us, Miss. Is there a secret room in this house? A basement, perhaps?" The man asked in a forced tone of voice.

Calmly, and without the slightest fear, Sea denied it again.

"Well, dear Policeman. This house can indeed hear voices from outside, sometimes people shouting from outside can be heard all the way here, sir! This means that the faint sound that you heard earlier, could be coming from outside, Sir." Sea said.

Finally one of the men decided to get out of the house, inspect the outside of Sea's house, while the others inspected the inside of Sea's house.

At first, Sea did not give permission but because she continued to insist, finally Sea was forced to allow it.

As a man started to go deeper into her house and checked the rooms one by one, Sea followed behind him.

She looked worried because she was afraid that this man would find the door to the dungeon.

But in the end,d the man also found a room that was very secret by Sea.

"What room door is this, Miss?" the man asked.

"Ah, that's just the barn door, sir," replied Sea.

"You are sure?"

The sea nodded, "Yes,"

"May I come in?"

"Enter?"

"Yeah, because I have to check it out."

"Sorry no, sir!"

"Why?"

"Erm...."

"Listen, Miss, the more you ban me from entering, the more suspicious I become of you."

"It's not okay, sir! It's just that...."

"Just what, Miss?! Did you keep anything?"

"No, but-"

Celek!

The man had even opened the door without waiting for Sea's approval.

"Oh my God! This is, isn't it, a basement!" The man stared intently at Sea.

"You have lied to us, Miss!"

"Excuse me, sir! But my advice is you, don't come in!"

"Why?"

"Yes, because it's dangerous!"

Just as Sea tried to stop the man from entering, and at that very moment, Archer started screaming again.

"Help! Please! Please save me!" he is screaming.

The basement door was already open so Archer's voice could be heard very clearly.

"It was the voice of the person from earlier, and it came from this dungeon!" said the man.

Sea couldn't move anymore.

"Sir, are you will... going inside...?" asked Sea in a stuttering voice.

"Of course!" replied the man firmly as he pushed Sea's body away, and he rushed in.

"Alright, then there's no other choice!" Sea rebuked.

Bruak!

Sea pushed the man's body until he slipped off the stairs.

Then Sea took out a penknife from her pocket.

"Akh! Why did you push me, Miss?"

"Sorry, sir! But I warned you before!" Sea smirked as she brought the knife towards the man lying on the floor.
