Escaping the past

"How could you say that? Tennesey's still your brother, maybe not in blood but in legal terms." after admitting to Marc that he wasn't really the person it was looking for. And broke it off clean with both their clean understanding of the situation. He turned to face his own family and tell them how he really feels.

Tennesey's Dad remained silent the whole time as his mother continuously scolds him. 

"Was that the real reason, Mom?" he can't help but ask. 

Before, with Marc, he also experienced scrutiny from its father. But it wasn't as though hearing it from his own family. As though he was some kind of a monster. And that he doesn't deserve happiness like everyone else. 

"Or is it because it's hard to accept who I really am? And the people I choose to love?"

"Either way, you can't be with Tennesey. If you do, I'll be the one to send you off far from here."

He was so frustrated that he locked himself to his room the whole day crying.
