Emotional Mate

It had been days since Gabriel last saw Esme. He'd never felt like this before; it was a new feeling. Or so it would have been if his memories had not returned. But not having his mate nearby was making him more anxious and fearful. He knew Esme was safe; he could tell that she was alive and mostly well through the mate bond.

But why had she not returned yet? And how the fuck did his men lose her?
