**NOLAN'S POV**

I spent that morning with Addie. It had been planned, so I wasn't going to turn her away. I didn't care at all about how tired I was when she came to see me. Now that she was gone though, I was going to call it a day and just sleep until tomorrow. I was exhausted, and there was nothing else that I needed to do. Or at least I hadn't thought that there was anything that needed my attention.

The moment that I was about to leave my office and head for my room. After just a few moments, there was a knocking on my door. It was close enough to when Addie left my office that at first, I thought it might have been her. It wasn't her scent though, so I quickly put that thought out of my mind.

"Yeah?" I called out to the vaguely familiar scent.
